Lifetime to Shift "Protector" to Monday Nights

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Lifetime is set to relocate its new drama "The Protector" to Monday nights at 10:00/9:00c beginning August 1, network sources have confirmed.
Said move is to make room for the previously announced "Against the Wall," which bows Sunday, July 31 at 10:00/9:00c.
"Protector" has struggled behind "Drop Dead Diva" on Sunday nights this summer, averaging 1.443 million viewers and a 0.4 rating among adults 18-49 in its first four airings, well behind its "Diva" lead-in (2.415 million viewers, 0.8 rating among adults 18-49).
"Protector" however isn't being thrown to the wolves on Monday nights. The original movie "The Bling Ring," starring Jennifer Grey, Austin Butler and Yin Chang, is booked for Monday, August 8 at 8:00/7:00c, leading into "Protector" at 10:00/9:00c that night.
