AMERICAN HORROR STORY (FX) - Michael Graziadei ("The Young and the Restless") is the latest actor to score a role on the upcoming drama. He'll play the new, young boyfriend of Jessica Lange's character in the project, which bows Wednesday, October 5.
BAMFs (ABC, New!) - Newcomer Leah Rachel has booked a potential high school comedy at the Alphabet. Sony Pictures Television-based producer Jamie Tarses is behind the project, which presumably stands for Bad Ass Mother F---ers. No other details were given.
BEWITCHED (CBS, New!) - Feature writer Marc Lawrence ("Miss Congeniality") is spearheading a revival of the 1964-72 comedy, about a witch who marries a mortal and tries to lead the life of a typical suburban housewife. Red Wagon's Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher, who produced the Will Ferrell/Nicole Kidman-led feature incarnation, are also on board to executive produce. Sony Pictures Television is the studio.
THE BUFFALOS (ABC, New!) - Dan Martin ("Emily's Reasons Why Not") has snagged a script order from the Alphabet for what's being billed as "a multigenerational workplace comedy set inside an old-school private club." No other auspices or format details were given.
COVERT AFFAIRS (USA) - Devin Kelley ("The Chicago Code") has been cast in a recurring role on the hit USA drama. She'll play the younger sister of Auggie's (Chris Gorham) deceased friend and former comrade, who's further detailed as "top of her class at Duke, she is a Richmond girl at heart with an effortless beauty and charm that not even Auggie can resist."
GUNSLINGER (ABC, New!) - David Zabel ("Detroit 1-8-7") is back in business with the Alphabet, booking a potential Western at the network. ABC Studios is behind the hour, additional details of which weren't released.
HAPPY ENDINGS (ABC) - Derek Waters ("Hall Pass") has scored a role on the show's upcoming sophomore run. He'll play Glaze, one of Dave's (Zachary Knighton) old buddies, in an upcoming installment, a role which could potentially recur.
HOW TO MAKE IT IN AMERICA (HBO) - Director/executive producer Julian Farino has signed a two-year overall deal with the pay channel. The pact calls for Farino to spearhead new projects for the studio, including directing and executive producing the comedy pilot "40," starring Ed Burns and Michael Rappaport and executive produced by Jim Lefkowitz, David Knoller and Doug Ellin. Farino will likewise develop his new series projects for the network.
INNOCENT (TNT) - Marcia Gay Harden and Mariana Klaveno have both been cast in the upcoming telefilm, based on Scott Turow's sequel to "Presumed Innocent." Klaveno will play "a court clerk whose relationships with Rusty Sabich (Pullman) and his son come into the limelight after Sabich is charged with the murder of his wife," while Harden's role wasn't specified. Mike Robe is spearheading the project as part of TNT's new "Tuesday Night Mystery Movie" franchise.
MAD LOVE (CBS) - Former co-star Sarah Chalke has inked a talent holding deal with 20th Century Fox Television. The pact calls for the studio to develop new series projects for the actress or cast her in one of their existing properties.
THE NANNY DIARIES (ABC, New!) - Amy Sherman-Palladino ("Gilmore Girls") is looking to bring Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus's famed novel, about a group of nannies who work for upper class Manhattan parents, to the small screen. CBS and Lifetime previously took stabs at an adaptation, while Scarlett Johansson, Laura Linney and Paul Giamatti toplined the 2007 film incarnation. ABC Studios is producing.
NCIS (CBS) - Scott Wolf ("V") has booked a potentially recurring role on the veteran drama. He'll play Casey Stratton, an FBI agent that crosses with the team, in the season premiere.
REVENGE (ABC) - Ashton Holmes ("The Pacific") has snagged a role on the freshman drama. He'll play "a high-society bad boy who is a Harvard classmate of Daniel Grayson (Josh Bowman)." The newcomer launches Wednesday, September 23.
TERRA NOVA (FOX) - Simone Kessell is set to recur on the much-ballyhooed drama. She'll play Alicia Washington, "the tough second-in-command to the Terra Nova colony's commander Frank Taylor (Steven Lang)." Her character will actually debut in the pilot following a series of reshoots.
UNTITLED ALEX BARNOW/MARC FIREK PROJECT (NBC, New!) - "Mr. Sunshine" co-creators Alex Barnow and Marc Firek have sold a potential multi-camera comedy to the Peacock about "adult siblings who work in their father's law firm." Sony Pictures Television is behind the half-hour, which has a penalty attached should it not move forward to pilot.
UNTITLED D.J. NASH PROJECT (FOX, New!) - D.J. Nash ("Traffic Light") has sold a new comedy to the network about "a married couple, his best friend and her sister as they navigate, negotiate and manipulate society's unspoken rules." The single-camera comedy, which has a penalty attached, comes from Peter Tolan and Michael Wimer's Sony Pictures Television-based Fedora Entertainment.
UNTITLED DONICK CARY PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Donick Cary ("Traffic Light") has snagged a script commitment from the Eye for a multi-camera comedy about "a family that buys a house which comes with a guest house the mother and brother soon move into." Sony Pictures Television-based Happy Madison is producing.
UNTITLED FRANKENSTEIN PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Garrett Lerner and Russel Friend ("House") have booked a new drama at the Peacock billed as a modern-day Frankenstein tale. Universal Media Studios is behind the hour, where the duo will write and executive produce through their overall deal.
UNTITLED JEFF WADLOW PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Jeff Wadlow ("Never Back Down") has booked a potential drama at the network billed as a "'Spy vs. Spy'-style thriller that pits a CIA agent against an operative from a private security firm a la Blackwater, who happen to be best friends." Warner Bros. Television-based Wonderland Sound and Vision is producing.
UNTITLED MAX WINKLER/JAKE JOHNSON PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Director Max Winkler and actor/writer Jake Johnson are set to team for a new comedy at the network about a disastrous mayor. Said effort is set up at 20th Century Fox Television and Rough House Pictures with the latter's David Gordon Green, Jody Hill and Danny McBride executive producing. Winkler then is on board to direct from a script he co-write with Johnson should it move forward.
UNTITLED PAM BRADY PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Pam Brady ("Neighbors from Hell") has booked a multi-camera comedy at the Eye about "parents who move to the college town where their daughter is starting her freshman year." Sony Pictures Television is behind the half-hour, which has a penalty attached should it not move forward to pilot.
UNTITLED RON BASS PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Feature writer Ron Bass ("Rain Man") has landed a script commitment from the Eye for a new drama about "a private investigator who left the police force after losing his female partner with whom he was in love, only to find out later that she may be back in his life." Leonard Goldberg ("Blue Bloods") is executive producing alongside Bass for CBS Television Studios.
UNTITLED TOMMY DEWEY/GREG BRATMAN PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Tommy Dewey and Greg Bratman ("Sons of Tucson") are back in business with the network for a new single-camera comedy about "a charming hustler who moves in with his best friend and live-in girlfriend." Sony Pictures Television is the studio attached.
