USA NETWORK'S LONGEST RUNNING ORIGINAL SERIES ON-AIR "PSYCH" STARRING JAMES RODAY AND DULÉ HILL PREMIERES ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12 AT 10/9C

Pop Culture Icon William Shatner Joins Impressive Lineup of Guest Stars for Season Six including Danny Glover, Kristy Swanson, Corey Feldman, Joey McIntyre, Malcolm McDowell, Jason Priestley, John Rhys Davies, Wade Boggs, Molly Ringwald & WWE Superstar The Miz

NEW YORK - August 11, 2011 - Continuing its strategy of year-round programming, USA Network's longest running current original series on-air, PSYCH starring James Roday and Dule' Hill, returns this fall on Wednesday, October 12 at 10/9c, it was announced today by Chris McCumber and Jeff Wachtel, USA co-presidents.

From vampires to super heroes, hippie communes to mental institutions, season six of PSYCH will thrill and delight fans of Santa Barbara's favorite psychic crime-solving team. A bevy of top names in entertainment will make guest appearances this season, including pop culture icon William Shatner as Juliet's father; Danny Glover and Wade Boggs in a baseball escapade; Kristy Swanson and Corey Feldman in a vampire episode co-written and directed by James Roday; John Rhys Davies in an Indiana Jones inspired episode written and directed by Steve Franks; plus Joey McIntyre of New Kids on the Block fame, Malcolm McDowell, Jason Priestley, Molly Ringwald and WWE Superstar the Miz. This season, when it comes to Juliet, Shawn is making some grown up moves in their relationship and best friend and partner Gus deals with being a third wheel. Also, whether or not Shawn is a "real" psychic is questioned.

With nearly two million Facebook fans, this cult favorite stars James Roday as police consultant Shawn Spencer who solves crimes with powers of observation so acute the precinct detectives think he's psychic. With help from his best friend and reluctant sidekick, Gus (Dulé Hill) and his father, Henry (Corbin Bernsen), they continue to solve the mysterious and often bizarre crimes of the Santa Barbara Police Department. Also starring Timothy Omundson, Maggie Lawson and Kirsten Nelson. PSYCH is executive produced by Steve Franks, Kelly Kulchak and Chris Henze, from Universal Cable Productions in association with Tagline Pictures. Mel Damski serves as executive producer/director. Bill Callahan is executive producer. Saladin K. Patterson and Andy Berman are co-executive producers/writers. Todd Harthan is consulting producer.

PSYCH's move to Wednesday nights in 2010 attracted the biggest P18-34 audience in the series' 4-year history of the series, breaking 1 million viewers for the first time ever in a year (1.13 million) as well as hitting a series high for a yearly average among M18-49 (1.11 million). It was the most watched scripted series on cable Wednesday nights in 2010 among P25-54 (2.20 million), P18-49 (2.21 million), P18-34 (1.13 million) and total viewers (4.57 million). No other live-action scripted original on cable averaged over 2 million P18-49 or 1 million P18-34. When USA aired Psych in 2010, the network was second only to NBC in delivering P18-34 and M18-34 in all of television, broadcast or cable, and beat ABC head-to-head among M18-34, M18-49 and total males M2+, as well.
