CLOO PREMIERES FIRST ORIGINAL TRUE-CRIME SERIES "KILLER INSTINCT" SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 AT 9/8C FOLLOWED BY "DATELINE ON CLOO" AT 10/9C

Renowned FBI Profiler Mark Safarik, Expert on Criminal Behavior, Featured In Both Series

NEW YORK - August 29, 2011 - CLOO, television's new destination for crime and mystery, introduces its first original true-crime series KILLER INSTINCT on Saturday, September 17 at 9/8c followed by DATELINE ON CLOO at 10/9c. Both series will premiere 13 back-to-back one-hour episodes every Saturday and feature Mark Safarik, a retired FBI profiler who will demonstrate his unique ability to interpret crime scenes and violent criminal behavior.

In KILLER INSTINCT viewers go behind the scenes of some of America's most notorious crimes, as seen through the eyes of one of the FBI's most experienced criminal profilers, Mark Safarik. His expertise into the minds and motives of thousands of killers helped solve some of the country's most high-profile cases. Safarik retraces his most challenging investigations and gives viewers an unprecedented insight into how he analyzes a crime scene, deciphers evidence, exposes deadly plots and ultimately discovers the identity of the killer. Through in-depth interviews with key law enforcement agents, dramatic recreations, and even a chilling one-on-one confrontation between Safarik and a convict, each episode will take viewers inside the mind of a killer. In the premiere episode, "A Killer Among Us," Safarik recounts how he helped track down one of America's most vicious serial killers. KILLER INSTINCT is produced by Peacock Productions with executive producers Sharon Scott, Knute Walker, Benjamin Ringe and Elizabeth Fischer.

DATELINE ON CLOO, hosted by Mark Safarik, will delve into some of the popular newsmagazine's most compelling stories of true crimes, mysteries, investigative reports and social injustices. The premiere episode, "Vanished," explores what happened after a teenager was kidnapped during a routine mall trip, resulting in a multi-state FBI manhunt. Other stories featured include a family matriarch who is found dead during a family vacation, four teens wrongly accused of murder, a young man's death at a wilderness camp, and a young bank robber who vanished with millions. DATELINE ON CLOO is produced by Peacock Productions with executive producers Sharon Scott, Knute Walker, Benjamin Ringe and Loren Michelman.

Safarik was one of the most senior and respected members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's elite Behavioral Analysis Unit during his 30-year career in law enforcement. The famed profiling unit was showcased in the Academy(R) Award-winning film "The Silence of the Lambs" and is currently featured in the television series "Criminal Minds." Serving with distinction in the FBI, he led the consultation efforts on many high profile national and international violent crime cases and shared his expertise in the analysis of various types of homicides and complex crime scene behavior. Safarik is an internationally recognized expert in the analysis and interpretation of violent criminal behavior and has provided expert witness testimony throughout the United States. He has appeared on "Dateline," "Forensic Files," MSNBC, TruTV and Discovery Channel to discuss his high-profile cases and analyses. He also serves as a consultant for the popular television series' "CSI" and "Bones, "and recently appeared on a high-profile panel at this year's Comic-Con.
