DESIGNER THOM FILICIA DECKS RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL FOR THE 2011 RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR SEASON IN HGTV's "RADIO CITY HOLIDAY"

NEW YORK, N.Y. (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) - HGTV and Radio City Music Hall have teamed up with acclaimed interior designer Thom Filicia to transform the renowned Radio City Music Hall for the new 2011 edition of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular into a one-of-a-kind holiday wonderland in Radio City Holiday. During the one-hour special, premiering Thursday, November 24, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, HGTV viewers will get a backstage tour of the spectacular venue and enjoy a peek at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, starring the world-famous Radio City Rockettes.

"We are thrilled to partner this year with interior designer Thom Filicia for his HGTV holiday special as he captures the illustrious design of Radio City. It is going to provide our audiences with an unforgettable experience from the moment they walk through the doors for the new 2011 edition of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular," said Rich Claffey, senior vice president and general manager of Radio City and Rockette operations.

In Radio City Music Hall's exquisite Grand Foyer and tranquil Grand Lounge, custom-made wreaths and a dazzling 35-foot-tall Swarovski crystal tree made with more than 10,000 crystals are among the show-stopping elements of Thom's design. He also blends traditional holiday touches with contemporary details that highlight the space's unique architecture. With varying hues of white, 40-foot metallic panels suspended from the ceiling, columns decorated with 36-inch diamond-shaped wreaths and warm LED lights, his design is one that creates a festive environment for patrons.

"As a long-time fan of the Rockettes, it's such an honor and privilege to get my kicks off-stage by dressing Radio City Music Hall for the holidays," said Thom.

To spread the holiday cheer, HGTV.com will host a Radio City Giveaway contest beginning November 17. The prize package includes round-trip airfare, tickets to the new 2011 edition of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, ground transportation and hotel accommodations for a group of four.
