FAITH HILL TO PERFORM LIVE ON THE "PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2012," JAN. 11, 2012 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK
Recording artist Faith Hill will perform during the live broadcast of the PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2012 from the Nokia Theater, L.A. Live on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 (9:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.
"We are so lucky to have Faith Hill on board to perform at the PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS," said Executive Producer Mark Burnett. "Her experience, mainstream appeal and status as one of the top female performers of our time make her the perfect addition to our telecast. I am proud to make this major announcement, the first of many to come for the 2012 show."
A four-time People's Choice Awards winner, Faith Hill is one of the music industry's top vocalists. She is a five-time Grammy Award winner, who has also won three Country Music Association Awards, 12 Academy of Country Music Awards, and four American Music Awards. Her 17-year career has been highlighted by the sale of over 30 million records worldwide, during which time she has celebrated 13 #1 singles and 20 #1 videos. She is the only female artist to have her last three studio albums - 1999's "Breathe," 2002's "Cry" and 2005's "Fireflies" - all debut consecutively at #1 on Billboard's Top Pop Album Chart and Country Chart.
Her new single, "Come Home," was released on Nov. 9 and her new album is due in stores early 2012.
Now in its 38th year, the PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS is voted on entirely by the public for fan favorites in music, movies and television. The "People's Choice" web site at www.peopleschoice.com houses the voting platform where fans determine the categories, nominees and winners for the annual awards show. Fred Nelson is the President of People's Choice, and the awards show is produced by Procter & Gamble Production, Inc., which is represented by MediaVest Worldwide, Inc., supervisors of the production. Kaley Cuoco is the host of the PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2012 and Mark Burnett is the Executive Producer.
