DEMI LOVATO TO PERFORM LIVE ON "PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2012," JAN. 11, 2012 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK
Platinum-selling recording artist Demi Lovato will perform during the live broadcast of PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2012 from the Nokia Theater, L.A. Live, Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 (9:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.
"Demi is a brilliant performer, a strong role model and a true fan favorite," said Executive Producer Mark Burnett. "We're thrilled to have her on board for the "People's Choice Awards" and look forward to a truly electrifying performance."
A three-time People's Choice Award winner, most recently Lovato was awarded Favorite Breakout Artist in 2009 and is currently nominated for Favorite Pop Artist at PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2012. Lovato joins previously announced performer Faith Hill.
Lovato started in television and music as a young adult. Recently, she hit the studio with Timbaland, Jason Derulo, Ryan Tedder and Missy Elliot, and released her third solo LP, Unbroken. The first single off Unbroken, "Skyscraper," debuted at #1 on the iTunes chart, #2 on the Billboard Hot Digital Singles chart and #10 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2012, Lovato will head out on a world tour to support Unbroken.
Now in its 38th year, the PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS is voted on entirely by the public for fan favorites in music, movies and television. The "People's Choice" web site at www.peopleschoice.com houses the voting platform where fans determine the categories, nominees and winners for the annual awards show. Fred Nelson is the President of People's Choice, and the awards show is produced by Procter & Gamble Production, Inc., which is represented by MediaVest Worldwide, Inc., supervisors of the production. Kaley Cuoco is the host of PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2012 and Mark Burnett is the Executive Producer.
