ISABEL (NBC) - Marcia Gay Harden has been cast in the comedy pilot, about "an otherwise normal, angry middle-class family that wrestles with the challenges of everyday life while raising daughter Isabel (Sophia Mitri Schloss) who has magical qualities." She'll play the mom, Francis, joining the previously cast Abigail Mavity and Skyler Gisondo as Isabel's siblings. Howard Busgang and Tom Nursall are behind the Universal Television-based project, to be helmed by Todd Holland. (Deadline.com)
LAST RESORT (ABC) - The Alphabet has officially greenlit the drama pilot, about "the crew of a U.S. nuclear submarine who, after ignoring an order to fire nuclear missiles, wind up being hunted and escape to a NATO outpost where they declare themselves to be the world's smallest nuclear nation." Martin Campbell was recently tapped to direct the Sony Pictures Television-based hour, from co-creators Shawn Ryan and Karl Gajdusek. (Deadline.com)
