SAVE ME (NBC) - Anne Heche has been tapped for the lead role in the single-comedy pilot, about a woman who lets herself go while in a broken marriage goes through a transformation where she becomes the best version of herself and creates miracles along the way. Her casting lifts said contingency off the pilot's production. John Scott Shepherd penned the Sony Pictures Television-based half-hour with Original Film's Neal Moritz and Vivian Cannon also serving as executive producers. Heche will likewise receive a producing credit while Scott Winant is attached to direct and executive produce. (Deadline.com)


TROOPER (A.K.A. UNTITLED ARON ELI COLEITE PROJECT) (CBS) - Aron Eli Coleite's drama, about "a common-sense mother-turned-New York state trooper," is moving forward to pilot at the Eye. Warner Bros. Television-based Bruckhimer Television is behind the hour, which Coleite, Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman will executive produce with KristieAnne Reed serving as a co-executive producer. UNTITLED KARYN USHER PROJECT (FOX) - Karyn Usher has scored a pilot order for her drama, about "the orphaned 17-year-old daughter of a CIA operative who is recruited to become an operative herself by a mysterious rogue agent/assassin who serves as both her surrogate father and professional mentor in the spy world." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the hour with Mary Adelstein, Shawn Levy and Becky Clements executive producing via their 21 Laps-Adelstein Productions banner.
