Angel Annussek Named Vice President of Original Programming for truTV

Angel Annussek has been promoted to vice president of original programming for truTV, announced Darren Campo, the network's senior vice president of programming, production and development. Annussek, who most recently served as executive producer and editorial director for the network, will work closely with Campo and Marc Juris, executive vice president and chief operating officer of truTV, to continue expanding the network's highly successful slate of programming. Annussek is based in New York.

Annussek will oversee production and content for the network's original programming, including pilots, series and specials. She will also continue to provide editorial oversight and direction for such truTV shows as Black Gold, Operation Repo and the upcoming Killer Karaoke.

"This is a well-deserved promotion for Angel, who has been an important part of truTV's rapidly growing success in original programming," said Campo. "I am confident that Angel's expanded role will strengthen our creative team and take truTV's original programming to new heights."

Annussek joined truTV in September 2004, serving as executive producer on the hit series Operation Repo and Black Gold. Her role was expanded in February 2011 to include duties as editorial director. Since then, she has been responsible for enhancing truTV's unique storytelling style, which includes fine-tuning shows to maintain and increase ratings growth from season to season.
