OSCAR(R) WINNER JON VOIGHT AND OSCAR(R) NOMINEE ELLIOTT GOULD JOIN THE SHOWTIME(R) PILOT "RAY DONOVAN"

Production To Begin in Early 2012

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 09, 2012) - Oscar(R) winner Jon Voight and Oscar(R) nominee Elliott Gould are the latest casting additions to the SHOWTIME drama pilot RAY DONOVAN, starring Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) nominee Liev Schreiber in the title role. Voight will play Ray's father "Mickey Donovan," a newly freed ex-convict who heads to Los Angeles with suspicious intentions to reconnect with his estranged family. Gould will appear as a recurring guest star named "Ezra Goodman," senior partner at a law firm who is Ray's mentor and confidante, yet is showing signs of dementia.

Oscar(R) and three-time Golden Globe(R) winner Voight launched his career with the role as hustler "Joe Buck" in the ground-breaking film Midnight Cowboy. In 1978, he won the Oscar(R) for Best Actor for his portrayal of a quadriplegic Vietnam War veteran in Coming Home. He also received Oscar(R) and Golden Globe(R) nominations for his performance in Runaway Train. Other film credits include Deliverance, Mission: Impossible, Varsity Blues, Holes and National Treasure. After playing Robert De Niro's underworld contact in Heat, Voight also starred in The Rainmaker, Enemy of the State and Tomb Raider, opposite his real-life daughter Angelina Jolie. His co-starring role as "Howard Cosell" in Ali earned him an Oscar(R) nomination. In television, he starred in the seventh season of the hit drama series 24.

Legendary Oscar(R) nominee Gould has a film, television and theatre career that spans more than forty decades and includes memorable roles in such films as Robert Altman's M*A*S*H, in which he played the maverick surgeon "Trapper John McIntyre," and Bob & Ted & Carol & Alice, for which he received an Oscar(R) nomination. Some of his other notable films include A Bridge Too Far, Capricorn One, a remake of The Lady Vanishes and Altman's 1973 film The Long Goodbye. He also received critical praise for his role in Warren Beatty's 1991 gangster epic film Bugsy. In addition, he appeared in American History X, co-starred in the Ocean's Eleven trilogy and appeared in last year's feature film Contagion.

His Broadway theatre credits include: Irma La Douce, Say, Darling, I Can Get It For You Wholesale, Little Murders, and Drat! The Cat! On television, Gould had a recurring guest role for nine years on Friends and appeared in guest spots on "Law & Order" and "CSI."

Ray Donovan is L.A.'s best professional "trouble shooter." He's the one called in to solve the complicated, confidential and controversial problems of the city's elite. He can make anyone's problem disappear, except the ones created by his own family. The series, which has comedic undertones, will take a novelistic look at contemporary Los Angeles. Voight and Gould join recently added cast members Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes) and Dash Mihok (I Am Legend) who will play Ray's brothers, and Paula Malcomson (The Hunger Games), in the role of Ray's wife, "Abby."

RAY DONOVAN is a SHOWTIME production and is created and executive produced by Ann Biderman ("Southland"). Mark Gordon and Bryan Zuriff will also serve as executive producers. Production will begin in Los Angeles in early 2012.
