FIRST LADY MICHELLE OBAMA AND DISNEY STARS GET KIDS MOVING AT DISNEY'S MAGIC OF HEALTHY LIVING & "LET'S MOVE!" EVENT AT WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT

--New Dance "The Platypus Walk" Introduced to Encourage Fun Physical Activity--

-- Part of Disney's Ongoing Support of the First Lady's Initiative to Inspire Healthier Living --

Today First Lady Michelle Obama joined kids and families - along with favorite Disney Channel and Disney XD stars, and the hugely popular "Phineas and Ferb" character, Perry the Platypus - at an event to get kids moving, during Disney's Magic of Healthy Living & "Let's Move!" celebration at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World Resort. Disney Channel stars Debby Ryan ("Jessie"), Roshon Fegan ("Shake It Up"), and Disney XD stars Doc Shaw and Kelsey Chow ("Pair of Kings") and Olivia Holt ("Kickin' It") inspired kids to get active with the new dance "The Platypus Walk." The event marks the second anniversary of "Let's Move!," the First Lady's initiative to fight childhood obesity, and Disney Magic of Healthy Living, a Company-wide initiative designed to inspire kids and families to lead healthier and active lifestyles.

During the event, choreographer Rosero McCoy ("Shake It Up" and "Camp Rock 2:The Final Jam") demonstrated "The Platypus Walk," a catchy spy-surf-rock song and dance that encourages fun physical activity, and on-air personality Radio Disney's Ernie D served as emcee for the occasion. As part of the celebration, kids participated in five physical activity stations with professional athletes and Disney Channel and Disney XD stars.

Disney Magic of Healthy Living is an initiative designed to partner with parents in their quest to raise healthy, happy kids. The program provides kids and families with engaging content, useful tools and unique experiences to help make healthier lifestyles simple and fun.

Disney Channel is a 24-hour kid-driven, family inclusive television network that taps into the world of kids and families through original series and movies. Currently available on basic cable in over 99 million U.S. homes and to millions of other viewers on Disney Channels around the world, Disney Channel is part of the Disney/ABC Television Group.
