Kudos Film and Television, Shine International & Hopscotch/eOne Ink Historic Deal for Major New Television Drama "Hunted"

Los Angeles, CA - April 10, 2012 - Kudos Film and Television and Shine International, the sales and distribution arm of Shine Group, confirmed today a landmark multi-territory home entertainment distribution deal with Entertainment One ("eOne" - "Hopscotch/eOne") for "Hunted," the electrifying new action-drama for BBC One (UK) and Cinemax (USA).

"Hunted" is the 8-part primetime series from screenwriter Frank Spotnitz (The X-Files), starring Melissa George (In Treatment, The Slap), Adam Rayner (Hawthorne) and Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje (Lost) and produced by the BAFTA-award winning Kudos Film & Television (The Hour, Spooks, Life on Mars). The new deal incorporates DVD and digital download distribution worldwide, outside of North America, and marks eOne's first multi-territory deal on a major UK television series.

The deal was negotiated by Jude Troy, Managing Director of eOne's Australian Home Entertainment division, Hopscotch Entertainment, Dan Isaacs, COO of Kudos Film & Television and Ruth Clarke, SVP, UK & EMEA at Shine International.

"We had our eyes on this premium UK production virtually since inception and are thrilled to be working with both Kudos and Shine International on a global scale. eOne continues to expand its global operations, seeking high-quality commercial content for our teams worldwide and offering our partners expertise on the ground across the globe. While many of the eOne territories have enjoyed individual commercial successes on a variety of titles from the Kudos slate including Spooks, Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes and the Hustle franchise, the collaboration on 'Hunted' represents the first multi-territory home entertainment distribution deal for the group," Troy said.

Dan Isaacs, COO of Kudos' added: "We have had a fantastic relationship with eOne over the last 10 years and are delighted to be back in business with them on 'Hunted.' It is Kudos' biggest and most ambitious series to date and as soon as they read it, they recognised its global potential."

"This week 'Hunted' received its world preview at MIPTV 2012. Today's news is a superb example of the exceptional response we have already received from this remarkable new drama from Kudos and Frank Spotnitz. This is a landmark deal for home-entertainment, as 'Hunted' is the first major UK drama to be secured by eOne as part of a multi-territory agreement. This major new deal will see the show launching across some of the biggest Home-entertainment territories in the world, and we're looking forward to announcing our first portfolio of TV broadcasters very soon," Ruth Clarke, Shine International's SVP and Head of EMEA concluded.

"Hunted" will premiere on Cinemax (USA) and BBC One (UK) in 2012.
