New York, NY, May 9, 2012 - Fuse, the national music television network of the Madison Square Garden Company announced today that electro-pop duo LMFAO will be shufflin' their way to the MuchMusic HQ in Toronto to host the 2012 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS. Fuse will simulcast the not-to-be-missed awards show, which will also include a performance from pop superstar Katy Perry. The night kicks off with a star-studded Red Carpet special at 8pm ET followed by the main event, the "2012 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS," at 9pm ET.

After surpassing 428 million views on YouTube, LMFAO's catchy party song and first hit single "Party Rock Anthem" off their current album Sorry for Party Rocking has become a viral phenomenon and a staple at every party. The track shot to #1 in more than 15 countries and became the biggest selling digital single in Canadian history, achieving global sales of over 14 million units. Their third single, "Sexy and I Know It", rocketed to #1 on the iTunes charts worldwide and had fans everywhere party rocking. The four music videos from Sorry for Party Rocking have reached nearly one billion views on YouTube combined.

More than 10,000 fans descended on MuchMusic HQ for last year's MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS to celebrate with an A-list group of stars, including Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Colin Farrell, The Black Keys, Snoop Dogg, Avril Lavigne and co-host Selena Gomez, as well as scores of other artists and celebs who performed, presented, and accepted awards.
