INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY'S NEW SERIES "BLOOD RELATIVES" KEEPS AUDIENCES GUESSING WITH FAMILY "WHODUNITS" WHERE ANYONE COULD BE THE VICTIM OR CULPRIT

- Narrated by DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES' Brenda Strong, BLOOD RELATIVES Launches Thursday, June 7 at 10 PM ET -

(Silver Spring, MD) - From the outside, families can seem like harmonious units, pillars of the community in loving homes. But in BLOOD RELATIVES, the façades are shed to reveal complex layers of jealousy, adultery, and vengeance that resulted in the unthinkable: a murder within a family. From the matriarch to favored son, black sheep to heir apparent, each episode unravels the motives of every family member, who are all potential suspects . . . and potential victims. BLOOD RELATIVES unpeels these grim family dramas in which the strain of sibling rivalries, family businesses, and infidelities resulted in ultimate betrayals. Narrating BLOOD RELATIVES is Brenda Strong, who is the voice of ABC's hit series DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES with her character Mary Alice Young. With six world premiere episodes, BLOOD RELATIVES debuts Thursday, June 7 at 10 PM ET.

"BLOOD RELATIVES is a great example of Investigation Discovery's exceptional storytelling, in which every member of these picture-perfect families could be revealed as the perpetrator while audiences are on the edge of their seats trying to figure out who is guilty," said Henry Schleiff, president and general manager of Investigation Discovery. "We are thrilled to have Brenda Strong narrate BLOOD RELATIVES with her mysterious and calculating tone. As the distinctive voice of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, one of televisions' all-time great dramas, Brenda's narration of BLOOD RELATIVES adds an emotional depth to an already compelling new series."

The six premieres of BLOOD RELATIVES include:

· EPISODE 1 - Thursday, June 7 at 10 PM ET

In the small town of Springfield, Georgia, Philip and Linda Heidt have raised their three happily married sons on good old-fashioned Christian values. In a town that prizes hard work, family tradition, and clean living, the Heidts lead by example as longstanding pillars of the community. But when a secret history of lust and betrayal explodes in the deadly reckoning of a late-night massacre, investigators follow the trail of deceit and desire to a murderer within the family.

· EPISODE 2 - Thursday, June 14 at 10 PM ET

The Hawes family's legendary landscaping business transformed Golden Valley, Minnesota into a suburban paradise. But when dirty dealings slash the company's bottom line, the once-happy family gets trapped in their own web of greed, backbiting, and death. In the gory aftermath of a brutal murder, investigators untangle a twisted revenge conspiracy that points to a family killer.

· EPISODE 3 - Thursday, June 21 at 10 PM ET

Life is sweet in the wealthy suburb of Sugarland, Texas, where Kent and Tricia Whitaker have raised their two sons to put faith and family first. The boys look forward to college and long, happy careers, until the family's bright future is snuffed out in the chaos of a home invasion. When the smoke clears, half of the Whitakers are dead and one of the survivors knows more about the murders than they're letting on.

· EPISODE 4 - Thursday, June 28 at 10 PM ET

Robert and Jane Dorotik taught their kids to embrace every outdoor adventure under the San Diego sun. Sons Alex and Nick follow dad's lead on surfboards, snowboards, or jogging trails. Daughter Claire shares her mother's passion for horses, and the duo builds their hobby into a family business, Charisma Ranch. But when a money crisis threatens to shut the stable doors forever, the good times give way to heated tension. Secret allegiances, spiteful letters, and a herd of thoroughbreds hold the key to exposing a family killer.

· EPISODE 5 - Thursday, July 5 at 10 PM ET

To the sun-soaked community of Huntington Beach, the Mullenixes are the quintessential California family. Bruce is a laid-back corporate executive, while his wife Barbara lives her dream as a TV actress. Their only child, Rachael, is a bubbly teen princess with a boyfriend, Ian, who is four years her senior. But the seemingly perfect nuclear family is running from a troubled past, and their dark legacy of abuse and addiction comes rising to the surface when a mangled corpse emerges in the waters of a local yacht club.

· EPISODE 6 - Thursday, July 12 at 10 PM ET

Pete Montemayor of Buena Park, California, started his successful trucking company with a dream of growing it into a family business for his children. Now that David, Darren, and Deborah are adults, they enjoy the security of working for dad. But when Pete announces his retirement, the formerly close kids erupt in a bitter brawl for the boss' chair. Before it's over, their sibling rivalry veers onto deadly ground. In the wake of a kidnapping-turned-murder, investigators must sift through a conspiracy of missing money, wild rumors, and dangerous gangs.
