WOOF!

CBS DECLARES WEDNESDAY, MAY 30 "BRING YOUR DOG TO WORK DAY"

CBS Celebrates Launch of New Reality Series "Dogs in the City" With an Event for Employees and Their Dogs at CBS Studio Center

CBS is making no bones about its excitement for the premiere of its new summer reality series DOGS IN THE CITY, featuring New York City dog guru Justin Silver. The network and television studio is declaring Wednesday, May 30 (the premiere date of DOGS IN THE CITY) "Bring Your Dog to Work Day," with an event for employees and their dogs on its CBS Studio Center campus.

The canine festivities on the Studio City lot for "Bring Your Dog to Work Day" will include a green grass carpet, photo ops, canine cuisine, music - and lots of wagging tails.

Additionally, employees from anywhere who bring their dogs to work on May 30 are invited to tweet photos of themselves with their pups at work to @DogsInThe_City, using the #CBSdogs2work hashtag. The best Doggie Tweets will be retweeted to all pups and fans!

The Network is also encouraging Facebook and Twitter users to proudly display their pooch's picture in lieu of their own profile photos that day.

In the premiere episode of DOGS IN THE CITY (titled "I Speak Dog"), New York City dog guru Justin Silver works with "Beefy," a celebrity skateboarding bulldog (www.beefythebulldog.com) who is making his owner's new wife feel like the third wheel, a model agency owner who starts a war of words with Justin over his take on how to handle her aggressive dog, and a single father and his young daughter who are relying on Justin to help their obese dog lose the excess weight that's threatening her health. DOGS IN THE CITY premieres Wednesday, May 30 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Julie Weitz, Carol Mendelsohn, Jen O'Connell, Nick Emmerson and Jay Bienstock are executive producers. Gerry Olin Greengrass serves as co-executive producer. DOGS IN THE CITY is produced by CBS's Raquel Productions Inc. in association with Shed Media US Inc. and Carol Mendelsohn Productions.

In Manhattan, Justin Silver is known as the "go-to guy" for all things dog-related. He has a creative and instinctive ability to connect with his canine customers while solving dilemmas for their two-legged masters. In each episode, he meets with clients who present a range of relationship problems, lifestyle changes or domestic issues. Justin gets as imaginative as necessary to reach a satisfying resolution, often finding that the owners can be a special breed themselves. Silver has been taking care of dogs and their owners for more than a decade. A dog trainer, behaviorist and owner of a pet care company, Silver is also a comedian and founder of Funny for Fido, a nonprofit that raises money for homeless animals by producing a yearly stand-up comedy event. He firmly believes that every dog can be trained to be a wonderful companion by working on issues calmly and confidently with both his four- and two-legged clients.
