Nat Geo WILD Exercises Discipline, But Can't Control Affection For Final Season of "Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan"

Final Season Premieres Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 8 p.m. ET/PT

WASHINGTON, June 6, 2012 -- After more than 150 episodes, thousands of audition tapes and hundreds of successful rehabilitations, Cesar Millan today announced via Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/cesar.millan) that the final season of Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan will premiere Saturday, July 7, 2012, with back-to-back episodes beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Nat Geo WILD. The ninth and final season features 12 all-new episodes and is jam packed with the biggest stars, most exciting destinations and fastest cars ever featured on the series. And, of course, there will be dogs. Lots and lots of dogs.

"I am so thankful to all the Dog Whisperer fans that embraced the show over the years and made it such a huge success," said Cesar. "It was bittersweet filming the final episodes, but they are a lot of fun and turned out to be some of the best cases ever. And to my biggest fans, never fear, you haven't seen the last of me yet!"

Cesar gets a jolly good start to season nine with four Olympic-sized episodes filmed in London. But his time there isn't all garden parties and high tea. He finds out that dogs can be a royal pain even in the land of kings and queens. Once back on this side of the pond, Cesar heads to the Jersey Shore to check out the "situation" for three families that can't find any fun in the sun because of their out of control dogs.

The stars also come out shining for Cesar's final season of Dog Whisperer. He helps actor Kelsey Grammer and his wife Kayte with their problem pooches, and shows celebrity fitness trainer Jillian Michaels how to work out her barking bad boy's problem behavior. Cesar joins NASCAR drivers Greg Biffle and Kevin Harvick for a lap around Daytona, stopping with Greg and his wife Nicole at a local dog shelter on the way and helping Kevin and his wife DeLana with their yappy Chihuahua. Finally, he drops by the Playboy Mansion West for a special visit with the legend himself, Hugh Hefner, whose dog is getting roughed up by Miss November's tiny canine terror.
