"THE BIGGEST LOSER" RUN/WALK EVENTS TO LAUNCH THIS FALL

NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products Joins with Former "The Biggest Loser" Contestants Jackie and Dan Evans to Introduce Series of National Run/Walk Events across the U.S.

First Event Slated for September 2, 2012 in San Jose, Calif.

Deal Was Brokered by Consumer Strategies, Inc.

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - June 13, 2012 - NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products is joining with NBC's "The Biggest Loser" season 5 contestants Jackie and Dan Evans and their company, FitWorld LLC, to introduce a series of national Run/Walk events this fall. The first event, slated for September 2, 2012, will take place in San Jose, Calif. The events, which will be open to the general public, will include 1K, 5K, half-marathon and full marathon courses and will be ongoing throughout the year.

Continental Event and Sports Management will assist in the production of The Biggest Loser Run/Walk events. The deal was brokered by Russ Kamalski and Nora Wong of Los Angeles-based Consumer Strategies, Inc.

Mother and son duo Jackie and Dan Evans were featured in season 5 of NBC's hit weight-loss series "The Biggest Loser." The two lost a combined total of 225 pounds on the show and have kept the weight off by participating in dozens of half-marathons since their time on the series.

"Dan and I are very excited to partner with NBC and 'The Biggest Loser,'" said Jackie Evans. "We see the Run/Walk series as an opportunity for fans to actively engage with the show. We struggled with finding the right mix of exercise to keep us on track and keep the weight off after the show, until we discovered run/walking. We can't wait to help others discover and participate in events that will motivate, inspire and activate a path to a healthier, more fit lifestyle."

"We are very proud to launch the Biggest Loser Run/Walk events, which will be a great opportunity for people of all fitness levels to participate in," said Kim Niemi, Senior Vice President of NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products. "We are also pleased to partner with Jackie and Dan Evans who are an incredible inspiration to anyone trying to lose weight, get fit or just stay healthy."

"We could not have found better partners than Jackie and Dan Evans of FitWorld to launch race events that can help change people's lives," said Consumer Strategies President Russ Kamalski. Senior Partner Nora Wong added, "Their passion and commitment to helping others lose weight and stay fit is a testament to what 'The Biggest Loser' brand is all about."

The Biggest Loser Run/Walk is licensed through NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products Group and Shine America, the company behind "The Biggest Loser." For more information, visit www.biggestloser.com/runwalk.
