With "Super Soul Sunday" OWN Posts 21 Consecutive Weeks of Double-Digit Growth In Total Day with Key Demos

Los Angeles, CA - OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network's "Super Soul Sunday" (Sundays at 11 a.m.) received a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Class Series at last night's 39th Annual Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony.

"'Super Soul Sunday' is the reason Oprah wanted to create this platform," said Sheri Salata, president, OWN. "Oprah's vision is to use television to drop little pieces of light into our consciousness and this is the beginning of the fulfillment of that dream. We are thrilled that our first Emmy is for this show."

The series has contributed to the channel's 21 consecutive weeks of double-digit total day growth with women 24-54 and total viewers versus year ago numbers (+25% W25-54, +25% P2+).

"Super Soul Sunday" which debuted in October 2011, has featured top thinkers, authors and spiritual leaders including Wayne Dyer, Gary Zukav, Deepak Chopra, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Tony Robbins, Iyanla Vanzant, Ram Dass, Debbie Ford and DeVon Franklin just to name a few.
