ALL ABOARD FOR THE PREMIERE OF BRAVO'S COMEDY SPECIAL "KATHY GRIFFIN: SEAMAN 1ST CLASS" PREMIERING THURSDAY, JULY 26th AT 10PM ET/PT
NEW YORK - July 11, 2012 - Bravo Media is setting sail on an all new original one-hour comedy special from gossip gal, Kathy Griffin, "Kathy Griffin: Seaman 1st Class" premiering on Thursday, July 26th at 10:00 PM ET/PT. Live before an audience of thousands at the Terrace Theatre in Long Beach, the two-time Emmy(R) Award-winner and host of Bravo's "Kathy" aims her razor sharp wit at Miley Cyrus, Bristol Palin, Anderson Cooper, "The Real Housewives of Orange County" and of course Oprah. Kathy chats about her latest antics at The Grammys, dishes on her most recent run in with Cher and what comedy special would be complete without another letter from prison? In addition to hosting "Kathy," Griffin has had an impressive 13 original comedy specials for Bravo since 2005 and won two Emmy's for the network's "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List." Her stand up specials "Kathy Griffin: Straight to Hell" (November 2008) and "Kathy Griffin: She'll Cut a Bitch" (April 2009) were both nominated for an Emmy in the category Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special. Four of her comedy albums have been nominated for Grammy's and she received rave reviews on Broadway for her one woman show "Kathy Griffin Wants a Tony." She is the recipient of the 'GLAAD Vanguard Award,' received the Trevor Project's 'Lifetime Achievement Award' and 'Ally for Equality Award' from the Human Rights Campaign.
Rickmill Productions produced "Kathy Griffin: Seaman 1st Class" for Bravo. The one-hour comedy special was executive produced by Kimber Rickabaugh, Paul Miller and Kathy Griffin.
