FX Orders More "BrandX with Russell Brand"

Network Picks Up Seven Installments

Show Slated to Return in October

BEVERLY HILLS, July 28, 2012 - FX is ordering more installments of its late night half-hour comedy series BrandX with Russell Brand, announced John Landgraf, President and General Manager of FX Networks.

The network today picked up seven additional episodes of the BrandX, which will return in October behind all new episodes of The League. The final installment of the show's initial six-episode order airs next Thursday, August 2 at 11:00PM.

Landgraf said, "Russell Brand is an extraordinary comedic talent - inventive, ambitious and fearless - and we are thrilled to continue our association with him, as well as his partners Troy Miller and Nik Linnen."

BrandX features Brand's unvarnished, unfiltered take on current events, politics and pop culture. The format draws heavily on Brand's interaction with that audience. The series is produced by FX Productions in association with Branded Films and Dakota Films. Executive Producers are Russell Brand, Troy Miller and Nik Linnen. Miller also serves as Director of the series.

FX Productions co-produces the award winning hit drama series Sons of Anarchy, and critically acclaimed hit drama series Justified. FXP produces the critically acclaimed hit comedy series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Louie, Archer, Wilfred, Legit (January 2013), and the late night comedies BrandX with Russell Brand and Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell (August 2012).

FX is the flagship general entertainment basic cable network from Fox. Launched in June of 1994, FX is carried in more than 98 million homes. The diverse schedule includes a growing roster of critically acclaimed and award-winning hit dramas series including Sons of Anarchy, Justified and American Horror Story, and acclaimed hit comedy series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Louie, Archer, Wilfred, BrandX with Russell Brand, Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell and Legit. Its library of acquired box-office hit movies is unmatched by any ad-supported television network. The network's other offerings include the acquired hit series Two and a Half Men and How I Met Your Mother, and live sports with UFC and NCAA football.
