Afterwards, they review and analyze their findings, often with chilling conclusions. This season, the crew travels to fascinating new locations including Sugar Lands, TX to investigate the Central Unit Prison, and Point Sur, CA's historic Point Sur Lighthouse. The group also explores the 150-year-old Black Moon Manor mansion in Greenfield, IN, along with the haunted happenings at Sauk Centre, MN's Palmer House Hotel. Through the lens of each reporter, viewers will travel to New Orleans and experience Will Ferrell's haunted trailer, a UFO sighting at the Jersey Shore, a teenage exorcism squad in Arizona, a zombie survival camp in New Jersey and more. The series, featuring ten one-hour episodes, follows the Edmunds and their staff - including renowned Hollywood creature and mask maker Jordu Schell - as they create some of the scariest new animatronics and frightronics the world has ever seen. This season, Distortions is tasked with some of the most unusual and challenging projects to date, including a red-eyed, smoke-breathing tiki for a haunt on the Hawaiian island of Oahu and a creepy, spitting, twisting centipede for Atlanta's premiere haunt, Netherworld. Additionally, the team creates an iconic stage mask for the rock band Megadeth, along with a 25-foot skeleton for an outdoor Baltimore attraction and a larger-than-life custom-made Gatekeeper for Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke's southern California home haunt, to name a few! This compelling paranormal investigative series features retired NYPD Homicide Detective Steve DiSchiavi and medium Amy Allan as they travel to cities and towns throughout America to help solve the unexplained disturbances and phenomena in each location. The pair explores every case from their specific areas of expertise, keeping their methods and findings hidden from each other. They join together only at the end to compare notes and reveal the shocking results to the client in the compelling, undeniable and often terrifying conclusion. This season includes "Dead Files Revisited," special episodes in which Allan and DiSchiavi look back on previous investigations, revealing additional information from each experience and following up with the clients to see what's happened since they left. But there's more to the holiday than just ghosts and goblins, as viewers will get to experience a pumpkin racecar derby and underwater pumpkin-carving contests in Damariscotta, ME, and visit Highwood, IL - a town with so many lit jack-o-lanterns they may break a world record!
