Mark Margolis Joins Cast of Chiller's Original Movie "Beneath"

Horror Icon Larry Fessenden Directs Film Slated for Spring 2013 Premiere

New York, NY - August 13, 2012 - Fresh off his casting in Darren Aronofsky's NOAH, Mark Margolis has joined the cast of Chiller's original movie Beneath which just started production in Oxford, CT with an eye towards a Spring 2013 premiere. Beneath stars Danny Zovatto (Innocence), Bonnie Dennison (Stake Land, Third Watch), Chris Conroy (Sorority Row), Jonny Orsini (Imogene), Griffin Newman (Political Animals) and Mackenzie Rosman (7th Heaven).

When a group of young friends commemorating their high school graduation take a trip to the remote Black Lake, their celebration turns into a nightmare with the sudden appearance of a bloodthirsty, underwater predator. Stuck in a leaking boat with no oars, the teens face the ultimate tests of friendship and sacrifice during a terror-stricken fight for survival. Margolis plays Mr. Parks, a hardened local authority on the lake's murky history.

Beneath is written by Tony Daniel and Brian D. Smith, and directed by horror icon Larry Fessenden (The Last Winter, Habit). Produced by Fessenden and Peter Phok for Glass Eye Pix (Stake Land, The Innkeepers, I Sell The Dead).

Margolis recently received an Emmy Nomination for his role as Hector "Tio" Salamanca on AMC's hit Breaking Bad. He has the distinction of having worked on all of Darren Aronofsky's films, starting with PI back in 1998, and including REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, THE WRESTLER and BLACK SWAN.
