NBC ANNOUNCES ENCORE SAMPLING OF NEW COMEDIES "GO ON" AND "ANIMAL PRACTICE" FOR TUESDAY, AUGUST 21

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - August 14, 2012 - NBC has scheduled encore broadcasts of the pilot episodes of its new comedies "Go On" (10-10:30 p.m. ET) and "Animal Practice" (10:30-11 p.m. ET) on Tuesday, August 21 following early previews of both series during NBC's coverage of the recent Summer Olympics.

The new broadcasts of the new series will provide additional viewer sampling leading out of a new episode of "America's Got Talent" (8-10 p.m. ET).

Perry ("Friends," "Mr. Sunshine") stars in "Go On" as Ryan King, a recent widower and sports talk radio host ready to get back to work after the loss of his wife. Ryan's alpha-male boss, Stephen (John Cho, "Star Trek," "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle"), has a different plan in store for Ryan, making him attend grief counseling before returning to the air. A reluctant Ryan finds himself in a support group for "life change" where he meets an oddball cast of characters all with their own backstories filled with varying degrees of loss.

"Animal Practice" centers on Dr. George Coleman (Justin Kirk, "Weeds" "Angels in America"), a top veterinarian with an impressive list of famous animal patients at the Crane Animal Hospital - a bustling New York City veterinary practice where it often seems as if the patients are running the place. Despite his unorthodox style, George has an undeniable gift with animals of all kinds - except the human kind.

"Go On" will premiere in its regular day and time on Tuesday, September 11 (9-9:30 p.m. ET) and "Animal Practice" will debut on Wednesday, September 26 (8-8:30 p.m. ET).
