DEBI MAZAR AND GABRIELE CORCOS RETURN TO ADD SOME "EXTRA" SPICE IN THE KITCHEN IN NEW SEASON OF "EXTRA VIRGIN"

Season Premiere Wednesday, November 7th at 9:30pm ET/6:30pm PT on Cooking Channel

NEW YORK - October 2, 2012 - Actress Debi Mazar and husband Gabriele Corcos, return to Cooking Channel for the third season of food, family and friends in Extra Virgin, premiering Wednesday, November 7th at 9:30pm ET/6:30pm PT. Debi, originally from Queens, and Gabriele, from Tuscany, share their home life and journeys with viewers, as they move their family from Los Angeles to Brooklyn, experiencing all their new home has to offer along the way, while also visiting Italy for a taste of Tuscany and the simple life, before heading to the hustle and bustle of New York City.

"Viewers really relate to Debi and Gabriele through their family experiences," said Michael Smith,General Manager and Senior Vice President, Cooking Channel. "Combining their love for cooking, with travel and adventure, Debi and Gabriele live life to the fullest, making them an exciting part of the Cooking Channel family"

In the season premiere, Debi, Gabriele and their daughters have just arrived at their home in Italy. Everyone is exhausted from jetlag and all Debi and the girls want to do is relax, but Gabriele has something else in mind, as he has invited friends and family over for dinner. Instead, they pick apricots off their own trees and travel to a local goat farm to buy two delicious cheeses to go with their meal. They also make homemade ice cream for dessert and harvest cherries for a compote to ladle over the sweet treat. Then, to top it all off, Gabriele builds a fire in the heat of the day to make Pasta alla Norma with grilled eggplant, and Debi makes a salad with green radicchio and a lemon and olive oil dressing.

Throughout the season, Debi and Gabriele experience life in their new home in New York, as they explore the neighborhood in Brooklyn learning how to build a vegetable garden in their backyard and brew beer. They also visit Coney Island in Brooklyn and Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, to shop for some authentic Italian-American food; and no move to New York is complete without a family getaway to Montauk on the eastern tip of Long Island, as Gabriele is hired as the Executive Chef of The Montauk Yacht Club. This season also features visits from some of Debi and Gabriele's culinary friends, including Michael White, Drew Nieporent and Anthony Bourdain.

Debi Mazar is an acclaimed actress who made her feature film debut in Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas. A native New Yorker, she is best known for her outstanding portrayals of edgy, sharp-tongued characters on film, television and stage. Her extensive onscreen work includes films with legendary directors Woody Allen, Michael Mann, Oliver Stone and Joel Schumacher. She also starred in her own television sitcom Temporarily Yours and was known for her role as hard-charging publicist 'Shauna' on the HBO series Entourage. She has always been interested in cooking and well-known among her friends for her fabulous dinner parties. Since marrying Gabriele and becoming a mother to her two daughters, Debi's passion for food and cooking has grown even further.

Born in Florence, Italy, Gabriele Corcos was raised in the Olive Country of Fiesole. His grandmother and mother taught him everything he knows about Tuscan food and traditional farmers' cuisine. Gabriele has an insatiable fascination with food, a love for organic ingredients, and foremost a determination to feed his wife and children in the healthiest and most natural way he knows...the Tuscan Way. After a few years spent in L.A. catering high-end events and cooking for many celebrities and clients in the entertainment industry, Gabriele is currently the consulting chef at the prestigious Montauk Yacht Club in Long Island, where his menu features traditional Farmers Cuisine from his home country and a few super Tuscan takes on American staple recipes.
