WE tv Greenlights New Original Series, "Obsessed with the Dress," and Renews "Kendra on Top" and "L.A. Hair" for Sophomore Seasons

Shows Join WE tv's 2013 Originals Slate Production on L.A. Hair Begins Today

NEW YORK, NY - October 22, 2012 - WE tv announced today it has greenlit the new original series Obsessed with the Dress, which goes inside the hottest dress shop in the Midwest as owner and former beauty queen Michele Strom dresses demanding clients for their chance at a crown. WE tv has ordered six, hour-long episodes of the series. WE tv also announced the renewal of two popular shows, Kendra on Top (12x30; 2x60) and L.A. Hair (10x60), for second seasons. The three original series will bow on WE tv in 2013. Production begins today on L.A. Hair.

"We're truly excited to welcome back Kendra, Kim Kimble and the cast of L.A. Hair to WE tv and to bring our viewers a new show about a topic women love to watch and talk about - the perfect dress!," said Lauren Gellert, SVP, original production & development, WE tv. "Like our viewers, the women in all of these shows are bold and unapologetic; they are living the life they've always wanted and blazing a path for themselves. Along the way WE tv viewers will be enthralled and entertained by their stories."

Set in The Winning Crown boutique in Omaha, NE, Obsessed with the Dress takes viewers into a world where selecting the ultimate gown can make or break a pageant girl's hopes of clinching the crown. Along the way, shop owner and former pageant winner Michele Strom balances her demanding clientele, and in-store conflicts between her highly competitive staffers.

The series is produced for WE tv by Pie Town Productions. Executive producers are Tara Sandler, Jennifer Davidson, Scott Templeton, Russell Heldt and Jennifer Lange. The executive producer for WE tv is Kate Farrell.

In season two of Kendra on Top, viewers will be treated to more of Kendra's adventures as she juggles her role of wife and mom with the temptations of her fast-paced celebrity lifestyle. Kendra will also offer her unique take on life in episodes that deal with her hosting her own Playboy radio show. But will she be sucked back into the sexy Playboy world? Or will she and Hank finally decide it's time for baby number two?

Season one of Kendra on Top reached 7.5 million total viewers on WE tv. The series is produced for WE tv by Prometheus Entertainment and executive produced by Kevin Burns with Kim Sheerin, Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett and Hank Baskett serving as co-executive producers. Suzanne Murch is the executive producer for WE tv.

Season two of L.A. Hair will indulge viewers in all the drama and laughs of Kim Kimble's hair salon to the stars where she juggles the personalities of her stylists and her mom as they move into a new salon space, add new client services and welcome a new family member to the growing salon. It's a season of firsts for Kim and she's determined to make it all work! Season one of L.A. Hair delivered 5.8 million total viewers on WE tv.

L.A. Hair is produced for WE tv by Eyeworks USA. Executive Producers are JD Roth, Todd A. Nelson, DJ Nurre and Heidi Dahmen. The executive producer for WE tv is Suzanne Murch.
