ABC News to Broadcast Special Expanded One-Hour Editions of "World News with Diane Sawyer" and "Nightline" Dedicated to Storm Coverage
Beginning at 11:35/10:35c, ABC News will air a special one-hour edition of "Nightline" with anchors Terry Moran and Bill Weir reporting from the storm zone.

ABC News to Broadcast Special Expanded One-Hour Editions of "World News with Diane Sawyer" and "Nightline" Dedicated to Storm Coverage

"Nightline" Will Air Live on the West Coast at 11:35pm PT and on the East Coast at 2:35pm ET

With the ABC News Extreme Weather Team dispatched up and down the storm zone, ABC News will provide comprehensive coverage of Hurricane Sandy across all broadcasts and platforms. Residents up and down the East Coast are preparing for what forecasters predict could be the worst storm in two generations.

As the eye of the storm prepares to make landfall Monday evening, ABC News will air a special one-hour edition of "World News with Diane Sawyer" with all the latest from the storm zone. "World News" will also air a special live West Coast edition.

With over 50 million people at risk on the East Coast, Diane Sawyer will speak with those on the frontline of the rescue efforts. ABC News Weather Editor Sam Champion leads Extreme Weather Team coverage from Battery Park in New York City, where the surge is expected to reach historic levels. "World News" will have anchors and correspondents reporting up and down the East Coast:

· ABC News Meteorologist Ginger Zee will be live in Atlantic City, NJ, the probable center of the storm's landfall.

· "20/20" anchor Chris Cuomo will report live from New York City on possibly devastating effects of the storm including the storm surge and the impact of high winds.

· Fourteen people were rescued this morning from a ship that was sunk by Hurricane Sandy, and the Coast Guard is still scouring the sea for two crew members who are missing. Matt Gutman will have the latest updates on the rescue efforts from North Carolina.

· With thousands of flights canceled and cruise ships at sea, Senior National Correspondent Jim Avila will discuss the latest travel updates from Washington's Reagan International Airport.

· Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper will have the latest on how the storm could impact the election

· "GMA" co-anchor Josh Elliott will also be reporting from New York City.

· Linsey Davis reports from Philadelphia

· Ron Claiborne reports from Long Island

· David Kerley reports from Delaware

· Lisa Stark reports from Maryland

· Alex Perez reports from Harrisburg

· John Schriffen reports from Boston

· Dan Harris reports from the Connecticut coast

Beginning at 11:35pm ET, ABC News will air a special one-hour edition of "Nightline" with anchors Terry Moran and Bill Weir reporting from the storm zone -- Moran from Cape May, New Jersey and Weir from Lake Erie, where winds gusts are expected to reach 70mph. Cynthia McFadden will be reporting live from ABC News headquarters in New York. In addition, Juju Chang will be reporting from New York City where the storm surge is expected to reach historic levels. ABC's Extreme Weather Team will report from up and down the coast. "Nightline" will broadcast a special West Coast edition of the program live at 11:35pm PT, which will also air live at 2:35am on the East Coast.
