ABC Rolls Back "Family Tools" Order to 10 Episodes

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC has rolled back its midseason order for newcomer "Family Tools" from 13 to 10 episodes.

The news - as first reported by Deadline.com - comes as the network preps its winter lineup. ABC previously indicated the half-hour - alongside fellow freshman "How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life)" - would fill the Tuesday, 8:00/7:00c hour between "Dancing with the Stars" cycles.

Said report indicates the decision is a real estate issue rather than a creative one as the aforementioned January to March gap is expected to only be 10 weeks. "How to Live with Your Parents" however won't be trimmed as the series has already completed production on its 13-episode order.
