SHOWTIME(R) HONORED WITH SEVEN GOLDEN GLOBE(R) NOMINATIONS, TIED FOR THE MOST SERIES NOMINATIONS THIS YEAR

HOMELAND Receives The Most Nominations of Any Series This Year

NEW YORK - December 13, 2012 - SHOWTIME was honored with seven Golden Globe nominations this morning, tied for the most series nominations this year (with HBO). HOMELAND is the most nominated television series this year with four nominations. SHOWTIME also ranks as the second most nominated network (broadcast or cable) this year, with additional nods for its original comedy series EPISODES and HOUSE OF LIES. The network received the most series performer nominations of any network with 5 actor nominations - Claire Danes, Damian Lewis, Matt LeBlanc, Don Cheadle and Mandy Patinkin. SHOWTIME is the only network to receive lead actor nominations in both the Drama and Comedy categories.

This year's top nominated series, HOMELAND was nominated for Best Television Series, Drama, its second year in a row in the category - an honor which it won in 2012. Lead actors Claire Danes and Damian Lewis were nominated once again for their work on the series, along with new addition Mandy Patinkin, who received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television. Danes won the Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series, Drama in 2012 for her acclaimed role as "Carrie Mathison."

The Hollywood Foreign Press once again recognized the network's original comedy series EPISODES for Best Television Series, Comedy. The series lead actor, Matt LeBlanc was also nominated for the second year in a row, a category he won in 2012 for his role as "Matt LeBlanc."

Don Cheadle was nominated for Best Actor, Television Series Comedy for his role as "Marty Kaan" on the SHOWTIME freshman comedy HOUSE OF LIES. Today's nomination marks Cheadle's first Golden Globes series nomination and the first Golden Globe nomination for the series since its debut in January 2012.

The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, will air on Sunday, January 13, 2013, LIVE coast-to-coast from Los Angeles. The Golden Globe Awards will be seen in more than 192 countries worldwide and will be produced by dick clark productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
