"KINGS OF CRASH" RIPS THE DOORS OFF THE DANGEROUS WORLD OF COMPETITIVE DEMOLITION DERBY DRIVING ON VELOCITY

(Pasadena, Ca.) - The world of the demolition derby can be summed up by one simple axiom - "smash or be smashed." This February, Velocity offers a front-row seat to the explosive egos, intense competition and automotive carnage that make these destructive events impossible to turn away from. KINGS OF CRASH is set in the world of legalized road rage, where the accidents aren't accidents, and the characters are as combustible as the collisions. The series follows the demolition derby circuit in rural Utah, where four-wheeled gladiators including TJ, the Sweat Brothers, and Gumby the Stormin' Mormon compete for bragging rights, family honor, and enough prize money to repair their cars for the next event. KINGS OF CRASH premieres Sunday February 10 at 10:00 PM (ET/PT) on Velocity.

"Demolition derby driving is more than a sport - it's an addiction. KINGS OF CRASH follows a group of incredibly colorful characters who share an insatiable craving for collisions, no matter the damage to their cars...or their bodies," said Robert Scanlon, Senior Vice President of Velocity. "From the race to rebuild their vehicles for competition, to the car-on-car combat in the arena, to picking up the pieces afterwards; KINGS OF CRASH offers an all-access pass to this explosively entertaining world."

KINGS OF CRASH explores the personal lives of eight drivers who step behind the wheel every week in hopes of crushing the competition and bringing home a win. At each derby, competitors advance through various heats for a chance to capture the coveted "Mad Dog: Most Aggressive Driver" title. Along the way, they work against the clock to source parts, tune-up transmissions, and make the repairs necessary to withstand the crescendo of crashes. Meanwhile, racers juggle nagging physical pain, strained family relationships, and financial stresses as they push ahead in their quest to become derby champion.

KINGS OF CRASH is produced for Velocity by FISCHER PRODUCTIONS. For FISCHER, Chris Fischer is executive producer, and Chris Moore is supervising producer, and Alex Campbell is the serie's showrunner. For Velocity, David Lee is Director of Production and Bob Scanlon is SVP of Velocity.
