ENCORE'S "THE BIG MINISERIES SHOWCASE" PRESENTS THE AWARD-WINNING, PRE-CIVIL WAR CLASSIC "NORTH AND SOUTH" ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 4TH AT 8PM ET/PT AND "SALLY HEMINGS: AN AMERICAN SCANDAL" ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 3RD AT 10AM ET/PT

In honor of Black History Month, ENCORE will present the EMMY(R) Award-winning and Golden Globe(R) nominated classic, "North and South," from Monday, February 4th - Friday, February 8th at 8PM et/pt on ENCORE. The six-part miniseries features an award-winning cast including Kirstie Alley, Patrick Swayze, James Read and Robert Guillaume. Additionally, ENCORE will premiere the NAACP Image Award winning miniseries "Sally Hemings: An American Scandal," on Sunday, February 3rd at 10AM et/pt, which stars Sam Neill and Carmen Ejogo. Both will air as part of "The Big Miniseries Showcase," a weekly programming destination of fan favorites and classic titles, premiering on ENCORE.

About: Winner of an NAACP Image Award for "Outstanding TV Movie, Miniseries or Special," "Sally Hemings: An American Scandal" is a biographical account of the extraordinary, controversial, 38 year-long love affair between Thomas Jefferson and slave Sally Hemings. The miniseries stars Golden Globe(R) nominee Sam Neill (The Tomb (2013), "Alcatraz," "The Tudors") as Jefferson and Carmen Ejogo (Alex Cross, Sparkle (2012)) as Hemings.
