Cameron Mathison, Amy Scott and Annie Wersching star in the World Premiere of "The Surrogate," premiering Saturday, March 2 at 8pm ET/PT.
When a successful author allows his assistant to become a surrogate so he and his wife can have the baby they so desperately want, he doesn't realize she is determined to ruin his marriage and will stop at nothing - even murder - to have him all to herself.
About "The Surrogate"
Successful author and college professor Jacob Kelly (Cameron Mathison, "Dancing with the Stars"), and his wife Allison (Annie Wersching, "24"), can't have a baby on their own, so the couple turns to Carriers, a full service surrogacy center for help. They are introduced to a young woman who appears to be the perfect surrogate. Meanwhile, Kate (Amy Scott, "Mad Men"), who works with Jacob, has a secret crush on him and decides she will do anything to have his child. After murdering the surrogate, Kate convinces the Kelly's to let her be their surrogate and begins her secret and twisted plan to have Jacob and his unborn child all to herself. Kate tries everything to break up their perfect marriage but soon Jacob and Allison are on to her and the charade is over. Unfortunately, Kate is still carrying their unborn baby and when she threatens to kill the baby, the Kelly's are faced with the horrible dilemma of going along with her dangerous fantasies... or giving up on their child. The decision they make soon plunges their lives into a nightmare of betrayal, revenge and murder. "The Surrogate" premieres on Lifetime Saturday, March 2, 8pm ET/PT.
