New York, NY (March 4, 2013) - In celebration of the forthcoming summer blockbuster movie season, MTV today unveiled a six week slate of movie and film themed programming that will culminate with the "2013 MTV Movie Awards," starring Rebel Wilson as host airing live on Sunday, April 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT from the Sony Pictures Studios Lot in Culver City, CA.

For the first time, MTV tomorrow, will reveal this year's full list of categories and nominations via a multiscreen event, the "2013 MTV Movie Awards Nominations Spectacular." MTV News' Josh Horowitz joined by Rebel Wilson starring as host, will kick off the event live on MTV at 7:58 p.m. ET to announce the "Movie of the Year" nominees before heading to MTV.com for a 30-minute live stream, in which Horowitz will be joined live in the studio by Jenni "JWOWW" Farley of MTV's "Snooki & JWOWW," along with a cast of MTV characters to help reveal all nominees for returning fan-favorite awards such as "Best Kiss" and "Best Fight," as well as all-new categories including "Best Shirtless Performance" and "Best Musical Moment." MTV talent slated to appear includes the cast of "Teen Wolf," Molly Tarlov and Jessica Lu of "Awkward," Nev Schulman and Max Joseph of "Catfish: The TV Show," Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer of "Nikki & Sara Live," Vinny Guadagnino and his family of upcoming "The Show with Vinny" and more. Voting will begin immediately after at MovieAwards.MTV.com.

Beginning Friday, March 8 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT through Friday, April 12, MTV will turn your living room into a Cineplex with "Rated MTV: Movie Awards Edition" hosted by MTV News' Josh Horowitz as a destination for movie fans to watch fan-favorite flicks, get the latest "MTV Movie Awards" breaking news and check out interstitial interviews with a variety of celebrities chatting about their upcoming new film releases. Nick Offerman from "Somebody Up There Likes Me," will kick things off on Friday, March 8.

For the third straight year the "MTV Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week" will take place the week leading into the "MTV Movie Awards." Beginning Monday, April 8 through Friday, April 12, the network will head to "5 Towers" on Universal CityWalk in Universal City, CA for a week-long screening of this summer's most-anticipated films for a selection of college students. Viewers at home won't miss out on the action though as cast members from each film will be on-site to introduce an exclusive clip on-air at 11:00 p.m. ET on MTV. Immediately following the on-air clip, fans will be treated to an extended sit-down with the films' talent and MTV News' Josh Horowitz for a live Q&A on MTV.com. The line-up of participating films and talent will be announced at a later date.

The "2013 MTV Movie Awards" will air across MTV's global network of more than 60 channels reaching more than a half-billion households around the world. In addition, its convergent programming and content will reach the entire interactive community, via MTV's more than 200 digital media properties around the world.
