Nadine Velazquez to Be a Series Regular on the TNT Hit Drama Series "Major Crimes"

Nadine Velazquez is set to be a series regular this season on TNT's hit drama series Major Crimes. Velazquez is best known for her roles on the television series My Name is Earl and The League. Last year, she also appeared in the Academy Award(R)-nominated film Flight.

In Major Crimes, Velazquez will play Deputy D.A. Emma Rios. Newly assigned to the Phillip Stroh case, Emma interviews Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) about his involvement as a key witness in the murder case. She immediately causes a stir within the department, coming into conflict with Captain Raydor (Mary McDonnell) when she questions Raydor's intentions as Rusty's guardian and challenges her authority.

About TNT's Major Crimes

Television's favorite squad of detectives has entered bold new territory with this hit crime drama that ranked as basic cable's #1 new series of 2012. The series is produced by The Shephard/Robin Company and Walking Entropy, Inc., in association with Warner Bros. Television. James Duff, Greer Shephard, Rick Wallace and Michael M. Robin serve as executive producers.
