CONGRATULATIONS, IT'S A THIRD SEASON PICK-UP!

ABC Family Orders a Third Season of Hit Original Comedy Series "Baby Daddy"

Burbank, CA (March 22, 2013) - ABC Family today announced the network has green-lit a third season of its hit original comedy series, "Baby Daddy." The order came just as production wrapped on the second season of the series, which premieres on ABC Family, Wednesday, May 29, from 8:30-9:00 p.m., ET/PT, after an all-new episode of comedy "Melissa & Joey."

"Baby Daddy" premiered to ratings success in its first season as the #1 new cable comedy of Summer 2012 in key female demos, winning its time period across ABC Family's core Adult 18-34, Adult 18-49 and Millennial demos. Together with "Melissa & Joey," "Baby Daddy" has made ABC Family summer's cable comedy destination on Wednesday nights. The series stars Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Derek Theler, Tahj Mowry, with Melissa Peterman and Chelsea Kane. "Baby Daddy" is created and executive-produced by Dan Berendsen ("The Nine Lives of Chloe King," "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," "Hannah Montana: The Movie"). The multi-camera comedy shoots in front of a live studio audience in Los Angeles.

"'Baby Daddy' was an immediate success when it launched. Based on the creative strength we saw during production on Season Two, and how the episodes, storylines and characters are developing, we decided to double down on this hit show and keep it in production for additional episodes," said Michael Riley, president, ABC Family. "We have a great deal of faith that our brilliant creative team and wonderful cast will continue to warm our hearts and make us laugh each week."

"Baby Daddy," the #1 comedy series in ABC Family history, follows Ben (Bilodeau), a young man in his early 20s living the life of a bachelor as a bartender in New York City with his buddy, Tucker (Mowry), and his brother, Danny (Theler), a professional hockey player. Their lives are turned upside down when they come home one day to find a baby girl left on the doorstep by an ex-girlfriend of Ben's. After much deliberation, Ben decides to raise the baby with the help of his friends and his protective and sometimes over-bearing mother, Bonnie (Peterman), and his close female friend, Riley (Kane), who has had a secret crush on him since childhood. Riley is hopeful that Ben will finally take notice, but she doesn't realize that Ben's brother, Danny, is harboring a secret crush on her.
