BANK (Logo, New!) - Steve Krueger is developing a potential drama at the cable channel about "a Wall Street whistleblower who, struggling with his newfound unemployment and lifestyle change, starts robbing banks to make money and save his marriage." New Wave Entertainment's Brian Volk-Weiss, Michael Pelmont and Matt Ochacher are executive producing the hour alongside Krueger. (Deadline.com)
CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - The Peacock is set to film a backdoor pilot episode of its freshman hit set in the Chicago Police Department. Executive producers Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, Matt Olmstead and Dick Wolf are all behind the project, which will air as its season finale on May 15 with Joe Chappelle directing. Jon Seda's Detective Antonio Dawson are among "Fire's" recurring players eyed to transition to the potential spin-off, which is likewise set up at the Universal Television-based Wolf Films. DIVORCE: A LOVE STORY (ABC/Sony; W: Daniel Lappin & Mike Sikowitz; D: Pamela Fryman) - Regina King ("Southland") has signed onto the multi-camera comedy pilot, about Kenny (Jason Jones) and Robin (Andrea Anders), a recently divorced couple who were bad at marriage and discover they are even worse at divorce. She's set as Cassandra, the beautiful, loopy, temperamental wife of Kenny's best friend Ike (Adam Goldberg). Said role is in second position to her duties on the TNT drama. (Deadline.com)
HOLDING PATTERNS (NBC/Universal; W: Justin Spitzer; D: TBA) - Oscar Nunez ("The Office") has joined the cast of the comedy pilot, about a group of friends whose lives completely change after they survive a plane crash on their way to a destination wedding. He'll play Mickey, the Manhattan agent of womanizing book author Chad Kirk (Nelson Franklin). Said role was previously written as a woman. Also starring in the multi-camera project are Chyler Leigh, Humphrey Ker, Kate Lang Johnson and Luka Jones. (Deadline.com)
JACKED UP (CBS/Sony; W: Greg Malins; D: Fred Savage) - Rob Huebel ("Childrens Hospital") has snagged a role on the comedy pilot, about Jack Wheeler (Patrick Warburton), a beloved, recently retired baseball player who finds that adjusting to retirement isn't as easy as he thought it'd be. He's on board as his best friend Barry Harrison ("energetic and in great shape"), the divorced owner of a local sports bar. Ziah Colon also stars in the multi-camera project. Separately, Huebel will guest star on the ABC comedy pilot "Bad Management," presumably as Chris, the boyfriend of Sharon Horgan's Eve. (Deadline.com)
JOHN MULANEY SHOW, THE (NBC/Universal; W: John Mulaney; D: TBA) - Fellow comedian Griffin Newman has joined the cast of the comedy pilot, based on the life of the stand-up comedian and his efforts to be a good person, much to the annoyance of everyone around him. He'll play one his roommates Seymour ("a genius in the body of a dustbowl child") in the multi-camera project, which also stars Elliott Gould and Martin Short. In addition, Robert Carlock ("30 Rock") has signed on as an executive producer. (Deadline.com)
MOTHER'S DAY (CBS/CTS; W: Elisa Zuritsky & Julie Rottenberg; D: TBA) - Paul Adelstein ("Private Practice") has been cast in the single-camera comedy pilot, about Gabby (Debra Messing), a 40-year-old mother of three in Park Slope, Brooklyn who constantly lies to keep up with the demands of work, home and family. He'll play her husband Bryan ("nerdy-cute"), who works at Google and is currently wrestling with an enlarged testicle. (Deadline.com)
SELECTION, THE (The CW/Warner Bros.; W: Elizabeth Craft & Sarah Fain; D: Alex Graves) - British actress Melanie Liburd has been cast in the pilot, a drama set 300 years in the future about a poor woman, America Singer (Yael Grobglas), who is chosen by lottery to compete to become the next queen of Illea, a war-torn nation. She'll play fellow competitor Fiona Castley ("lovely, kind"), a member of the Noble Class "whose family is overjoyed but she is secretly hesitant about being picked for The Selection." Anthony Head, Ben Aldridge, Celia Massingham, Louise Lombard, Lucien Laviscount, Michael Malarkey, Peta Sergeant, Sarah Winter and Sean Patrick Thomas also star in the project. (Deadline.com)
WITCH HUNT (Bravo, New!) - Writer/director Ry Russo-Young (Nobody Walks) and playwright Dorothy Fortenberry are set to team for a potential drama at the cable channel "set in a reimagined New York City that follows a single mother, desperate for a job, who gets hired at a leading cosmetics company only to discover that the entire company is a front for a coven of witches." Mikkel Bondeson and Henrik Bastin are also on board to executive produce the hour with Kristen Campo serving as co-executive producer for Fabrik Entertainment. (Deadline.com)
