FRIENDS WITH BETTER LIVES (CBS/20th; W: Dana Klein; D: James Burrows) - The multi-camera comedy pilot - about six 30-something friends who each think the other has it better - is heading to series at the Eye. Brooklyn Decker, James Van Der Beek, Kevin Connolly, Majandra Delfino, Rick Donald and Zoe Lister-Jones star in the project. Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment is also among the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
RECKLESS (CBS/CTS; W: Dana Stevens; D: Catherine Hardwicke) - The drama - about a Yankee defense attorney (Anna Wood) and a Southern prosecutor (Cam Gigandet) who struggle to hide their attraction while clashing over a police sex scandal that threatens to implode Charleston, South Carolina - has landed a series commitment from the network. From executive producers Ian Sander and Kim Moses, the project also stars Adam Rodriguez, Georgina Haig, Gregory Harrison, Kim Wayans, Michael Gladis and Shawn Hatosy. (Deadline.com)
