COOKING CHANNEL'S ALIE WARD & GEORGIA HARDSTARK REDEFINE ROAD TRIPS IN NEW COOKING CHANNEL SERIES "TRIPPING OUT WITH ALIE & GEORGIA"

Series Premieres Friday, June 21st at 9:30pm ET/6:30pm PT

NEW YORK, NY - May 13, 2013 - Cooking Channel's favorite Classy Ladies Alie Ward and Georgia Hardstark hit the road in search of adventure, hidden gems and a delicious cocktail in Tripping Out with Alie & Georgia premiering Friday, June 21st at 9:30pm ET/6:30pm PT on Cooking Channel. With vintage suitcases in hand, this witty duo embarks on a road trip not to be missed and tops off each episode with a party and an original cocktail inspired by their travels. From mud baths in the California desert to synchronized swimming in Miami, Alie and Georgia leave no stone unturned as they tour the country in style with a healthy shot of humor.

"What makes Alie and Georgia so cool is exactly what drew me to them when we first met, their creative view on mixology paired with a whimsical style of entertaining," says executive producer Giada De Laurentiis. "These girls have an infectious, fun, two-of-a-kind personality that makes for the most entertaining TV."

In the series premiere, Alie and Georgia travel to Las Vegas where they "trip out" and kick off their journey of hilarious moments. During the trip, Alie realizes her childhood dream of learning how to walk a tight rope while Georgia shows her competitive side in a spirited game of poker with the guys. They dig into super-sized pancakes at a classic diner, sample delicate dishes at a hot new buffet, and top it all off with a bacon martini at an off-the-strip dive bar. Finally, they head home to Los Angeles to throw a party for friends inspired by their Vegas experience complete with bite-sized pancakes, reuben sliders and a blended cocktail with a Vegas twist.

Throughout the season they visit Marfa, Texas for a unique camping experience in a vintage trailer and authentic teepee along with a lesson from the local roller derby team on how to elbow their way around the rink; San Francisco where the girls check out trivia night at a local pub, munch on fish 'n chips wrapped in newspaper and taste the best Bloody Mary in the city at a dive bar that attracts local cyclists; and Miami where donning vintage swimsuits and caps, Alie and Georgia take a synchronized swimming class from the pros.

Alie Ward was born and raised in San Francisco. She has spent several years in both print and on-air journalism reporting on nightlife and events for the Los Angeles Times and local broadcast station KTLA. It was during her pre-journalism days while bartending that her obsession with creative cocktails began. After making a viral video with her best pal Georgia which featured their McNuggetini cocktail, the pair has taken the libation world by storm. They have starred in their own web series on CookingChannelTV.com, Drinks with Alie & Georgia and are on-air contributors for Cooking Channel's Unique Sweets. Alie will find any excuse to go on a road trip, adores anything old and rustic and has equal respect for fine Scotch and wine spritzers.

Georgia Hardstark got her start in the food and drink world with her popular blog column Domestic Tuesdays, where she would laugh, cry, and drink her way around her tiny kitchen. Georgia and her best friend Alie posted a video for a jocular cocktail called The McNuggetini. After the video went viral, the duo went on to create more palatable beverages for the web. The two have showcased their unique recipes on their CookingChannelTV.com web series, Drinks with Alie & Georgia and are on-air contributors for Cooking Channel's Unique Sweets. Georgia is a seasoned personal essayist and food writer. A third generation Angeleno, Georgia is a rabid fan of all the city has to offer, and has never met a burrito or a cupcake she didn't like.

Tripping Out with Alie & Georgia is produced by Linguine Pictures.
