VELOCITY LAUNCHES TWO ORIGINAL SERIES BEGINNING IN JUNE

-- WHAT'S IN THE BARN? World Premieres Tuesday, June 25 at 10 PM ET/PT and FANTOMWORKS World Premieres Sunday, June 30 at 8 PM ET/PT --

(Silver Spring, Md.) - As part of Velocity's commitment to deliver 400 premiere hours of compelling programming in 2013, the first network for upscale men is debuting two exhilarating original series in June beginning on Tuesday, June 25 at 10 PM ET/PT with the world premiere of WHAT'S IN THE BARN?, and the premiere of FANTOMWORKS at 8 PM ET/PT on Sunday, June 30. Both new series build on Velocity's winning formula of providing viewers with a variety of adventure, automotive, sports and leisure programming that is always action-packed and captures the best of the human experience.

WHAT'S IN THE BARN? brings viewers on a quest that crisscrosses the U.S. for vintage motorcycles and cars. Wheels Through Time Museum curator Dale Walksler hosts this one-of-a-kind journey through America's barns where yesterday's junk becomes automotive Americana that he will bring back to life and sell. Walksler has spent his life searching for long since forgotten gems, and uncovering history in the most unusual and extraordinary places. As his passion grew, so did his collection, eventually evolving into the motorcycle paradise that is the Wheels Through Time Museum. Located in Maggie Valley, N.C., Wheels Through Time features more than 300 of America's rarest classic motorcycles, and the collection continues growing thanks to Dale's undying passion for historic automotive machines. Find out WHAT'S IN THE BARN? every Tuesday night at 10 PM ET/PT beginning June 25 only on Velocity.

In FANTOMWORKS restoration expert Dan Short and his team only have a heart for those who genuinely love their cars. Every car has a story, but if you can't prove to Dan that you truly care about your car and want the job done right then he won't accept your business. Dan's bustling shop, FantomWorks, is the largest automotive restoration shop in America. Leaning on of years automotive restoration experience in addition to the qualities of discipline and precision Dan acquired in the military, the FantomWorks team runs a busy production pipeline in order to meticulously refurbish some of America's favorite rides. Every week old cars come with new obstacles including irate car owners, personality clashes, cost over-runs, parts problems and walkouts. Come along for the ride every Sunday night at 8 PM ET/PT beginning June 30 only on Velocity.

"Passion for the automotive life is the name of the game in these two new series," said Bob Scanlon, senior vice president of Velocity. "We've found two genuine automotive guys-in Dan and Dale-who share the same love for cars and motorcycles that our audience does. Their willingness to share knowledge and demonstrate what it takes to bring automotive Americana back to life is something we feel the Velocity audience will appreciate."

WHAT'S IN THE BARN? Episode Descriptions (Not a Full List):

Episode 1: "Peashooter" World Premieres Tuesday, June 25 at 10 PM ET/PT Dale and his son Matt get a vague tip from a museum visitor who claims he saw a skinny-wheeled motorcycle at an army surplus warehouse 10 miles from Wheels Through Time. Dale can't imagine how an antique motorcycle could find its way into a building that's been rumored to contain 500,000 grenade canisters but he knows he must look. What he also doesn't know is that this simple 10 mile drive will detour him all the way to rural Pennsylvania and New Jersey. There he will be tempted to purchase two of the largest collections of new and used motorcycle parts in the United States.

Episode 2: "100 Year Old Harley" World Premieres Tuesday, July 2 at 10 PM ET/PT For much of Dale's life he has heard the tale of the one family-owned, unaltered, barn kept, 100 year old Harley. Two weeks before Christmas he's hired to dig the bike out of the family barn and bring it back to Wheels Through Time to prep for auction in early January. There's no doubt Dale wants the bike but the family thinks they can get more from an active bidding process. Dale works straight through the holidays to get ready, but the real surprise comes when he becomes an active and aggressive bidder at auction.

Episode 3: "The Hidden Hillclimbers" World Premieres Tuesday, July 9 at 10 PM ET/PT The 85 year-old owner of Metropolitan Motors, which closed its doors in the '70s, is fed up with the pressure of protecting one of the world's most valuable stashes of all Italian cycle parts. With pallets stacked nearly to the ceilings, and no recognizable organization or labeling system, he doesn't have the energy or man power to sort and market the collection of parts, bikes and rare dealer signs. Worried that he'll have to sell for scrap, he contacted Dale and asked for help. The parts value could exceed ten million dollars. It will take cash, years to inventory, price and market, and over 12 semis to transport, but it's a deal Dale just can't walk away from.

FANTOMWORKS Episode Descriptions (Not a Full List):

Episode 1: "1963 Corvette and 1931 Model A Hot Rod" World Premieres Sunday, June 30 at 8 PM ET/PT Dan Short is a fan of classic cars. So when James brings in a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette and wants Dan to add the first convertible split window - the job is too cool to resist. But James needs the car for his wedding in less than two months. While the team wrestles with the near-impossible Corvette timeline, Bill brings in a 1931 Model A Ford that his father converted into a hot rod. Bill is an internet mechanic who has torn the car to pieces. This would normally send Dan running for the hills, but the car is Bill's only connection to his dead father.

Episode 2: "1965 Mustang and 1951 Studebaker Truck" World Premieres Sunday, July 7 at 8 PM ET/PT Cars can cement or break friendships. Dan is concerned when his best friend Charlie asks him to convert his 1965 Ford Mustang fastback into his dream car. Dan's worries are realized and the friendship is pushed beyond its limits when Charlie buys his own parts and his dream is much bigger than his budget. In contrast, the complete restoration of a 1951 Studebaker truck to a world class show vehicle is a car-lover's dream. Nothing is impossible, so Dan and the team are challenged to come up with a design that has never been seen before.

Episode 3: "1964 Impala and 1976 TR6" World Premieres Sunday, July 14 at 8 PM ET/PT When a 1964 Chevrolet Impala arrives at FantomWorks, it looks like it is half a step from the junkyard. Further complicating things is that the owner is serving in Afghanistan. He is entrusting the supervision of the ground-up restoration to his mother-in-law, a hairdresser who knows nothing about cars. Dave, the owner of a 1976 Triumph TR6 knows a lot about cars, so he finds it hard to believe when Dan Short argues against certain aspects of the restoration. Dan wants to make the car a "survivor" with original paint and features while Dave doesn't believe that it is possible.
