MAN SEEKING WOMAN (FX, New!) - "Saturday Night Live" alum Simon Rich has booked a pilot order at the cable channel for a new comedy based on his book "The Last Girlfriend on Earth," which is billed as "a sweet, surreal, and bitingly funny look at the life and death stakes of dating in New York City." Jonathan Krisel ("Portlandia") is directing the half-hour, which is set up at Broadway Video Television and FX Productions with the former's Lorne Michaels among the executive producers. UNTITLED JOHN LEGEND/TROY CARTER PROJECT (Showtime, New!) - Singer John Legend and his manager Troy Carter are developing a new comedy at the pay channel set in the world of high-profile music managers and based on their own experiences in the business. Austin Winsberg ("Gossip Girl") has been tapped to pen the half-hour, which is set up at Universal Cable Productions. Legend, Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius then will executive produce via their Get Lifted Film Co. banner alongside Carter and Winsberg. (Deadline.com)
