THE DOC IS IN FOR "THE DOC FILES," A SHORT-FORM SERIES EXTENSION OF DISNEY JUNIOR HIT "DOC MCSTUFFINS," PREMIERING MONDAY, JULY 22

"The Doc Files," a short-form series extension of Disney Junior's hit show "Doc McStuffins," launches with a week of new episodes MONDAY, JULY 22 - FRIDAY, JULY 26 on Disney Channel (9:25 a.m., ET/PT) and Disney Junior (7:55 p.m., ET/PT). Episodes will be available on DisneyJunior.com in conjunction with their linear premiere.

Starring preschoolers' favorite TV doctor and her stuffed animal friends, "The Doc Files" offers young viewers a glimpse into Doc's keen deductive skills as she shares an in-depth look at specific cases and diagnoses after the clinic doors close for the day. Produced using a combination of CG and 2D flash animation, each episode opens with Doc dictating a toy patient's chart and recalling how she solved the case from allergies to splinters to the importance of healthy eating and exercise.

A hit worldwide, the original animated series "Doc McStuffins," about a little girl who can talk to and heal stuffed animals and toys out of her playhouse clinic, reached over 100 million unique viewers in 160 countries and 19 different languages in first quarter 2013 and was 2012's #1 cable TV series in Kids 2-5.* "Doc McStuffins'' airs daily on Disney Channel and Disney Junior.

Created and executive-produced by Humanitas Prize and Emmy Award-winning Chris Nee (writer on "Little Bill" and producer of "Deadliest Catch: Crab Fishing in Alaska"), "The Doc Files" is a production of Brown Bag Films and Zamodo LLC in association with Disney Junior.

Disney Junior reflects the emotional connection generations of consumers have to Disney storytelling and Disney characters, both classic and contemporary. It invites mom and dad to join their child in the Disney experience of magical, musical and heartfelt stories and characters, while incorporating specific learning and development themes designed for kids age 2-7. Disney Junior's series blend Disney's unparalleled storytelling and characters kids love deeply with learning, including early math, language skills, healthy eating and lifestyles, and social skills. In the U.S., Disney Junior launched in February 2011 with a daily programming block on Disney Channel and added a 24-hour channel in March 2012. 2013 to-date, Disney Junior series are the Top 4 cable TV series in Kids 2-5 and Total Viewers. There are 33 Disney Junior channels around the world.
