BUSINESSMEN AND PHILANTHROPISTS STEVE TISCH AND JOHN PAUL DeJORIA DIVE INTO "SHARK TANK" THIS UPCOMING SEASON

When the critically-acclaimed business-themed show, "Shark Tank," returns for a fifth season this fall, two guest tycoon businessmen and philanthropists will be diving into the tank alongside the Sharks: Steve Tisch, Chairman and Executive Vice President of the New York Giants and partner at Escape Artists Productions, and John Paul DeJoria, best known as a co-founder of the Paul Mitchell line of hair products and The Patrón Spirits Company, will join the Sharks to give budding entrepreneurs the chance to make their dreams come true and potentially secure business deals that could make them millionaires.

John Paul DeJoria's rags-to-riches story exemplifies the American dream - once homeless, he struggled against the odds to achieve success, launching three global enterprises and paying it forward, living by his motto, "Success Unshared is Failure." With just $700 he started John Paul Mitchell Systems, converting it into the largest privately held salon hair care line, and later turned a passion into success by founding Patrón, the world's No. 1 ultra-premium tequila. A longtime activist for sustainable business practices and corporate responsibility, DeJoria makes these practices paramount as he continues to evolve and grow his businesses, and to inspire others.

Steve Tisch is Chairman and Executive Vice President of the New York Giants and partner at Escape Artists Productions, an independent film production company. He is the only person with both an Academy Award and a Super Bowl ring. He won an Academy Award as a producer of "Forrest Gump," which won the Oscar for Best Picture in 1994. He has received two Super Bowl rings as Chairman of the Giants, who defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowls XLII and XLVI. His television and feature film projects have consistently focused on the lives of everyday people and the vital impact they have on society. Tisch, who has generously contributed his time and resources to a variety of organizations, has long been a leader in the philanthropic sector.

The Sharks are: billionaire Mark Cuban, owner and chairman of AXS TV and outspoken owner of the 2011 NBA championship Dallas Mavericks; real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran; "Queen of QVC" Lori Greiner; technology innovator Robert Herjavec; fashion and branding expert Daymond John; and venture capitalist Kevin O'Leary.

Mark Burnett, Clay Newbill and Phil Gurin are the executive producers of "Shark Tank," which is based on the Japanese "Dragons' Den" format created by Nippon Television Network Corporation. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television.
