Live Coverage Begins Thursday on NBCSN at 8 p.m. ET

GoPro Cameras Worn by Gymnasts to Provide Unique Perspective

STAMFORD, Conn. - August 14, 2013 - NBC Sports Group will present more than seven hours of live coverage of the 2013 P&G Gymnastics Championships this week. Live coverage airs tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN, Friday at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN and continues through the weekend on NBC, including live primetime coverage on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.

The P&G Gymnastics Championships determine the U.S. champions and the U.S. national team. Headliners in the women's field include 2012 Olympic team gold medalists McKayla Maroney of Long Beach, Calif., and Kyla Ross of Aliso Viejo, Calif. Highlighting the men's competition include 2012 Olympic all-around bronze medalist Danell Leyva of Miami, Fla.; 2013 AT&T American Cup champion Jake Dalton of Reno, Nev.; defending U.S. all-around champion John Orozco of Bronx, N.Y.; and Olympian and 2013 NCAA all-around champion Sam Mikulak of Newport, Calif.

GOPRO CAMERAS: For the first time on its gymnastics coverage, NBC Sports Group will utilize GoPro cameras to provide viewers with a first-hand sense of the gymnast's perspective. Olympians McKayla Maroney, Danell Leyva and Sam Mikulak will wear the cameras on their chests as they perform their flips and twists during training.

On Saturday night in primetime, NBC will feature the women's all-around final, and, in addition USA Gymnastics will honor the U.S. women's 2012 Olympic team, which won the gold medal, and NBC Sports Group will conduct interviews with team members.

COMMENTATORS: NBC Sports Group's gymnastics team of Al Trautwig, Tim Daggett, Nastia Liukin and Andrea Joyce will host coverage from XL Center in Hartford, Conn.
