NBC ORDERS SECOND SEASON FOR "HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT"

Jane Lynch Returns as Host

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Aug. 20, 2013 - NBC has given a second-season, 10 episode-renewal to Thursday night alternative series "Hollywood Game Night." The game show, hosted by Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jane Lynch, is the brainchild of award-winning actor-producer Sean Hayes and is based on his real-life game nights. The announcement was made by Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment.

Celebrities who participated during the first season included Kristin Bell, Rose Byrne, Nick Cannon, Kristin Chenoweth, Minnie Driver, Patricia Heaton, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Amy Poehler, Martin Short and Jason Sudeikis.

"'Hollywood Game Night' allows the audience to take a seat on the couch next to their favorite celebrities and enjoy the pandemonium and exuberance of the colorful cast of celebrities in each episode," said Telegdy. "Jane and her friends know how to throw a party and we're thrilled viewers have come to play too."

Added Lynch: "It's fun hanging with friends and playing ringmaster, while trying to help our contestants earn $25,000. It's a win-win for all."

In the series, two contestants in each episode are transported from their everyday lives into a once-in-a-lifetime night of fun and celebration as they step beyond the velvet rope and rub shoulders with some of their favorite celebrities. Part Hollywood club and part casual game night, the series is a fresh look into the lives of the celebrity crowd.

"Hollywood Game Night" is produced by Hazy Mills Productions (NBC's "Grimm," "Hot in Cleveland, "Soul Man"), Mission Control Media (Syfy's "Face Off"), and Universal Television. Hayes, Todd Milliner, Michael Agbabian and Dwight D. Smith are executive producers.
