BAD GUYS (FOX, New!) - "Human Target" alums Matthew Miller and Zev Borow are set to re-team for a new drama at the network about Lea Morris, "a NYPD detective and a single mom raising a teenage son, and her dad Nalin Morris, a recently paroled ex-con who wants a second chance with his daughter and a first with his grandson." Borow is penning the hour and executive producing alongside Miller. Warner Bros. Television is producing. (Deadline.com)
BLANCO (Cinemax, New!) - Mark Rosner ("Blue Bloods") is spearheading a potential drama at the pay channel about "an uptown gangster who uses his status as a confidential informant to turn the tables on law enforcement and build his criminal empire." Fox Television Studios and Lakeshore Entertainment are co-producing the hour, with Rosner, Gary Lucchesi and Tom Rosenberg executive producing. Casting is already underway in anticipation of a pilot order. (Deadline.com)
LES MISÉRABLES (FOX, New!) - Rob Thomas ("Veronica Mars") and actor/writer Graham Norris are set to team for a contemporary take on Victor Hugo's novel, about "a brilliant lawyer running a legal exoneration program who fights to evade the consequences of his own unjust conviction many years before." Warner Bros. Television is behind the hour, which has a penalty attached. Norris will pen the script and serve as a supervising producer with Thomas, Danielle Stokdyk and Dan Etheridge executive producing via the former's Rob Thomas Productions. (Deadline.com)
LINE OF SIGHT (AMC/AMC Studios/FTS; W: Blake Masters; D: Jonathan Demme) - Olafur Darri Olafsson and Omar Metwally are the latest cast in the drama pilot, about Lewis Bernt (David Morrissey), a National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigator who survives a mysterious plane crash, bringing him on a quest to discover the accident's cause. The former will play Edgar, "a powerful and immovable man who knows more than anyone about the crash, yet not quite everything"; while Metwally is set as Dave, "who was fundamentally altered by the experience of the crash." Kai Lennox, Lisa Gay Hamilton and Sarah Clarke also star. (Deadline.com)
OUTLANDER (Starz/Sony; W: Ronald D. Moore; D: John Dahl) - Stephen Walters and Annette Badland are the latest additions to the upcoming drama, based on Diana Gabaldon's novels about Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743, where she is immediately thrown into an unknown world where her life is threatened. Walters will play Angus Mhor, "a hard drinker who's always looking for a fight"; with Badland as Mrs. Fitzgibbons, "a quick-witted woman who is the glue that holds Castle Leoch together." Sam Heughan and Tobias Menzies also star. (TVGuide.com)
RAISED BY WOLVES (CBS, New!) - Matt Dearborn and Racelle Rosett have booked a potential comedy at the Eye about "a 20-something guy who suddenly becomes a full-time dad to his 7-year-old daughter and his buddies who band together to help him raise her." Said duo will write and executive produce alongside Fred Savage, who's attached to direct, for CBS Television Studios. (THR.com)
UNTITLED ALEX DELAWARE PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Jonathan Kellerman's books - featuring the crime-solving psychologist Alex Delaware, who joins forces with a closeted gay LAPD detective - are being developed as a drama series at the network. Pam Veasey ("CSI: NY") will pen the adaptation, which is set up at the Warner Bros. Television-based Jerry Bruckheimer Television. Bruckheimer, Veasey, Kellerman and Jonathan Littman then will executive produce with KristieAnne Reed as a co-executive producer. (TVLine.com)
UNTITLED KATE GERSTEN PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Newcomer Kate Gersten has sold a potential comedy to the network based on a play by her and "centers on two best friends from high school who reconnect later in life." Lionsgate Television is behind the half-hour with Wonder Monkey Productions' Steve McPherson serving as an executive producer and Gersten a co-executive producer. FishBowl Worldwide Media is likewise attached however no auspices were given. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED LIZ VASSEY PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Actress/writer Liz Vassey ("CSI") is spearheading a potential multi-camera comedy at the Peacocok about "a group of six friends who meet each Wednesday night for their weekly bowling league and centers on two of them - a couple, now broken up, who refuse to give up custody of their bowling league." Vassey will pen and executive produce the Universal Television-based half-hour with fellow actress Krysten Ritter and Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)
