LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FX Networks has ordered a fourth - and final - season of its Elijah Wood/Jason Gann-led comedy "Wilfred," THR.com reports.
The show's 10-episode swan song will roll out in 2014 on sibling FXX. In addition, executive producer David Zuckerman will resume oversight of the day-to-day operations on the series, serving as co-showrunner alongside Reed Agnew and Eli Jorné. Zuckerman served in a reduced role this past season.
"Wilfred" averaged a very modest 586,000 viewers and a 0.3 rating among adults 18-49 during its third season on FX, down considerably from its season two numbers (1.113 million viewers, 0.5 adults 18-49 rating).
