Griffin Dunne, Bess Armstrong & Jenny Slate to Return for Episodes

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 7, 2013) - Three-time Grammy(R) Award-winning musical artist and actor T.I. (T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, Boss) will guest star in multiple episodes of the third season of the hit SHOWTIME comedy series HOUSE OF LIES. Production on season three is currently underway for a January 12, 2014 at 10 p.m. ET/PT premiere on the network. T.I. will play "Lukas," clothing company co-owner with childhood friend "Dre" (previously announced guest star Mekhi Phifer), who enlist Marty (Don Cheadle) to help expand their empire. Veteran actor Daniel Stern (Home Alone, The Wonder Years) has also signed on to play "Tretorn," the CEO of a natural food grocery store chain. Previous guest stars Griffin Dunne ("The Rainmaker"), Bess Armstrong ("Julianne") and Jenny Slate ("Sarah") will also return this season.

T.I. has conquered the worlds of music, film and television. His eighth solo studio LP Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head hit Gold and he was featured most recently on Robin Thicke's mega-blockbuster summer anthem, "Blurred Lines." In film, T.I. most recently appeared in Identity Thief with Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy. He starred in the hit film ATL with Evan Ross and Lauren London; starred in and produced the bank robbery heist Takers; and made a memorable appearance opposite Denzel Washington in American Gangster. On television, he earned wide notice and acclaim for his guest starring roles as "Trey" in the drama series Boss, featuring Kelsey Grammer, and in the top-rated CBS drama, Hawaii Five-O. Now in its third season, his unscripted series T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, which spotlights T.I. as he balances a thriving career, wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle and their loving, blended family of six children, is one of VH-1's highest rated series. T.I. is repped by UTA and Category 5 Entertainment's Brian Sher.

Veteran actor Daniel Stern is best known for his roles in the films C.H.U.D., Diner, City Slickers, the first two Home Alone films where he played bandit "Marv Merchants," and as the narrator for the television series The Wonder Years (he also directed several episodes). Stern made his movie debut in 1979 as "Cyril" in Breaking Away. The following year he played opposite Jill Clayburgh in It's My Turn. His breakthrough role as an actor came in Barry Levinson's Diner. In the 1984 horror film C.H.U.D., he played the soup kitchen C.H.U.D. hunter. Stern and his The Wonder Years co-star Fred Savage were featured together in Little Monsters. Stern provided the voice for the main character of the Dilbert animated TV series, based on the comic strip by Scott Adams. Stern also directed the feature film Rookie of the Year.

HOUSE OF LIES is the edgy, provocative hit SHOWTIME comedy series starring Don Cheadle (Iron Man 3) in his twice Emmy(R)-nominated and Golden Globe(R)-winning performance as elite consultant Marty Kaan, a man with a single-minded pursuit: power. This quest is eternally complicated at work by his relationships with his "Pod" of co-workers: sexy, whip-smart protégé and co-conspirator Jeannie (Kristen Bell) and underlings Clyde (Emmy winner Ben Schwartz) and Doug (Josh Lawson). At home, he's forced to juggle unwanted advice from his psychoanalyst father Jeremiah (Emmy winner Glynn Turman), drama from his demented ex-wife Monica (Dawn Olivieri), all while being a loving, tolerant father to his gender-fluid teenage son Roscoe (Donis Leonard Jr.). We start season 3 as the wreckage from Marty's decision to launch his own firm has spilled onto the Pod -- the almighty quartet is disbanded. But while Marty is preoccupied with hustling up new clients, his former mentee Jeannie is channeling her inner Kaan and making big moves in his absence. With everything now turned upside-down, it's anyone's game and anyone's guess as to who will come out on top - at work and at play.
