FOX CHALLENGES NATION'S FUNNIEST CELEBRITIES ON NEW UNSCRIPTED COMEDY "SLIDE SHOW"

U.S. Version of Hit International Series from Steve Carell and Shine America Features Celebrities and Comedians Competing For Laughs

FOX has ordered eight episodes of the hit international unscripted comedy SLIDE SHOW, it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

From Shine America and executive producer Steve Carell, SLIDE SHOW pits two teams - featuring the nation's funniest celebrities and comedians - against each other in a series of showdowns designed to hilariously test mind and body. Throughout the game, the competitors must think on their feet as the teams face unpredictable song, dance and sketch challenges, often while navigating the show's trademark one-of-a-kind set, tilted at a 22.5 degree angle.

"I think unscripted television should be outrageous and audacious by definition. Unfortunately, not much is, as of late," said Reilly. "SLIDE SHOW is the most ridiculously fun and out-there thing I've seen in quite a while. Steve Carell knows a thing or two about big laughs and I am really happy to be working with Steve again, and the team at Shine, to bring SLIDE SHOW to FOX."

"Comedy is subjective," added Carell. "But if you don't find SLIDE SHOW to be funny and enormously entertaining, then you will never be my friend."

"We are truly excited to bring this fresh new comedy series to FOX with our producing partner Steve Carell," said Rich Ross, Shine America CEO. "SLIDE SHOW has quickly become a global phenomenon and we're thrilled that FOX is now going to share it with the American audience. The Satisfaction team has created a brilliant format in which the results are unpredictable and hilarious."

Originally created by Arthur Essebag, SLIDE SHOW is based on a format from French-based production company Satisfaction, The Television Agency.

Also known as "Anything Goes" internationally, "Slide Show" debuted on TF1 in France in January 2012 and averaged nearly a 40% audience share. The series debuted in Australia on Seven Network in August and has been the top-rated show in its time slot each week. After enjoying similar success in both Portugal and Denmark, the format is set to launch in Spain, the Netherlands, China and many other territories in the coming months.

SLIDE SHOW will be produced by Shine America in association with Carell's Carousel Television. Carell, Thom Hinkle, Eden Gaha and Paul Franklin will serve as executive producers. "Slide Show" is distributed globally by Shine International.
