FOX Nixes Animated Series "Murder Police"

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX has shuttered its upcoming animated series "Murder Police," TVGuide.com reports.
Producer 20th Century Fox Television however plans to sell the comedy - about a dedicated, but inept detective and his colleagues (some perverted, some corrupt, some just plain lazy) in a twisted city precinct - to cable.
FOX originally commissioned 13 episodes back in December 2012, earmarking the series for midseason during its 2013-2014 upfront presentation.
David A. Goodman and Jason Ruiz are behind the project, which features Jason Ruiz, Will Sasso, Chi McBride, Jane Lynch, Phil LaMarr, Peter Atencio and Justina Machado among the voice ensemble.
