TINA FEY, AMY POEHLER RETURN AS HOSTS OF 2014, 2015 GOLDEN GLOBE(R) AWARDS

Following 2013's Critically Applauded Performance, Beloved Comedic Duo to Serve as Co-Emcees for Next Two Telecasts

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Oct. 14, 2013 - Golden Globe winner Tina Fey and Golden Globe nominee Amy Poehler ("Parks and Recreation") have signed on to host NBC's exclusive coverage of "The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards," which will be broadcast live on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. (PT) and 8-11 p.m. (ET) from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

As part of their deal, Fey and Poehler will also host "The 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards" in 2015.

The announcement was made today by Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Theo Kingma, dick clark productions and NBC.

"Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season," said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. "We're elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years."

"We are thrilled Amy and Tina have decided to return as hosts of the Golden Globe Awards for the next two years," said Kingma. "Their return ensures that the Golden Globes will once again be the biggest, best and most entertaining awards celebration of the year."

"Tina and Amy have a truly unique chemistry making them one of the most talented and captivating pairings of all-time," said Allen Shapiro, CEO of dick clark productions. "We are thrilled to have them back in 2014 and 2015."

The 2013 Golden Globes averaged a 6.4 rating, 15 share in adults 18-49 and 19.7 million viewers overall, for a year-to-year jump of 28% in 18-49 rating (to a 6.4 from a 5.0) and 17% or 2.8 million persons in total viewers (19.7 million vs. 16.9 million). The 2013 telecast claimed the biggest Golden Globes results in six years in both 18-49 rating and total viewers (since Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, 6.5/15 in 18-49, 20.0 million viewers overall). It was also the second-highest-rated Golden Globes in nine years.

Poehler, a nine-time Emmy Award and two time Golden Globe Award nominee, currently stars on the Emmy-nominated NBC comedy series "Parks and Recreation" and can be seen in theatres in "A.C.O.D." She will next be heard as the voice of Jenny in the upcoming animated comedy "Free Birds" and seen staring opposite Owen Wilson, and Zach Galifianakis in "You Are Here." Poehler is working on her first, as-yet-untitled book to be published by HarperCollins' It Books in 2014 and was recently announced as the voice of "Joy" in Pixar's next animated film "Inside Out," set for release in 2015.

"The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards" will be seen in more than 192 countries worldwide and is one of the few awards ceremonies that span both television and motion picture achievements.

The special will be produced by dick clark productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Theo Kingma is President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Allen Shapiro, CEO of dick clark productions and Barry Adelman, Executive VP of Television at dick clark productions, will serve as executive producers.
